Danny backed up, scanning Anthony. Danny held the handle of his sword tightly, glaring at Anthony.

"Aw, he's cute." Anthony said, using the flat part of the blade to smack Danny away.

The girl gasped quietly, watching as Danny was flung with ease, seeing Danny hit a tree harshly. Danny groaned, falling onto the floor.

"Now, it's time to come back." Anthony demanded, looking down at the girl.

The girl shook her head, "As if, I am never going back, to that hell." She said, grabbing something from behind her. A potion.

"Where the hell did you manage to find that??" Anthony questioned, his eyes widened.

The girl ignored his question, gripping the bottle in her hand. Anthony growled before running toward her. He was fast, but she was somewhat faster. She put her sword into its sheath before dashing off in the complete opposite direction of Danny.

She jumped over a knocked over tree, under a thick branch and then hid behind a rock. Anthony ran right past her, which gave the girl time to reveal herself from her hiding spot.

"Hey," She said, Anthony turning around but he was too late. The girl jumped up before chucking the potion in his direction. Anthony tried to dodge, but it was no use. The potion broke at his feet, a bright purple light appearing below his feet. A purple circle appear underneath him and Anthony was sucked into it. The light disappeared and so did Anthony.

The girl sighed with relief, walking back to Danny. Once reaching the area he was suppose to be, she was shocked to see him gone.

"Shit." She mumbled, before walking back into the village. Villagers still lie dead in the roads,
so she just avoided stepping on them as much as possible. She turned a few corners before finding one of the knights from before. He was struggling to stand, since she stabbed his thigh.

She walked up to him, making him look up at her. She crouched in front of him, squinting her eyes. She leaned closer to him, grabbing his helmet and disposing of it quickly. She looked him dead in the eyes.

The knight looked quite young, maybe around 16? He had dirty blonde hair, which was bleached a bit in the front, and blue eyes. He looked terrified.

"Hey, don't be afraid." She said, pulling a small smile to her face, which was clearly forced.

He just looked up at her, "I'm sorry." He said, "I don't want to listen to him, but what choice do i have?"

"You do have a choice young one." She said before standing up and holding her hand out toward him. "You do not have to listen to a monster such as him, you have a choice whether to fight for what's right or wrong, but again, it is your choice."

The young knight just looked at her hand for a few moments before nodding, taking her hand. She helped him up, earning a groan of pain from him. She held him up, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"I'm sorry about that." She mumbled.

"No need to apologize, I earned it." He said. She smiled before taking him to an empty house nearby. She kicked open the door, entering the house. She helped him to the bed, rushing around the house for anything to help him.

She found a few bandages in the bathroom, and some alcohol. She grabbed these things, a few more bandages before exiting the bathroom.

The young knight was still in the same spot, thankfully. She made her way to him, placing these items down before beginning to aid him.

Danny groaned as he held his stomach, he wasn't in too much pain, but his body still stung a bit from the sudden impact of the tree and himself.

Danny used the tree to pull himself up, sighing in the process. He continued to hold his stomach. He walked slowly back to his village, seeing all of his people which he shared memories with, dead.

Danny called out for the girl, drawing attention from a few of his fellow guards instead.

"Sir!" One said as they approached him. Three guards stood before him.

"What is it?" Danny questioned, looking at the one in the middle.

"She's gone." He growled, removing his helmet to expose his face.

"What do you mean, she's gone?" Danny asked, his face seeming a bit pissed off by this point.

"Once we killed off most of those... things, we went looking for you. We saw her running back into the village, only to disappear." The guard, Scout, explained to him.

Danny scoffed, "And I thought she was here to help us?"

"You can't be so trusting of others sir, this is what happens when you are." The other spoke.

"God, I know David, I know." Danny said as he shook his head.

"It's okay sir! We know you didn't mean for this to happen, I myself have the same problem as you." The shortest guard spoke, which made Danny smile a bit.

"Thanks Etai. Alright boys, let's look for survivors and that girl if we can." Danny commanded, earning a 'yes sir!' in return.

"You have to go." The young knight said as the girl finished patching up his wound.

The girl shook her head, "Not without you kid."

"They're angry, with you." He said, looking up as she stood up.

"Can you walk?" She asked, ignoring his warnings.

He attempted to stand, which failed at first before he successfully stood up. It still hurt to put pressure on his leg, but it was good enough.

"You're hurt." He said as he noticed the blood that seeped through her armor, from both her lower stomach and shoulder.

"It's nothing." She said, wrapping some of the bandage around her shoulder, before putting the supplies away.

"We must patch your stomach as well!" The boy shouted, reaching to grab the bandages but was much shorter than her.

"No, if we do that, I won't be able to move as quick as usual." She said, fixing her scarf before putting the bandages and alcohol back in the bathroom.

"Shall we go now or before midnight?" She asked, turning to the younger knight.

"Well later, you should rest and as will I, and they are searching for us now, I can feel their presence searching the area." He reported, as he would to a leader.

"Before midnight it is." She said, grabbing a wooden chair and putting it up against the door, to prevent anyone from entering. It would also allow them to know if someone is trying to enter, giving them time to escape out of the window.

"You take the bed, I'll keep watch." She told the boy, but he quickly refused.

"When was the last time you've slept?" He asked.

"I don't sleep, but you should." She said to him.

"If you don't sleep, then neither should I." He protested, but was quickly shut down.

"That's not the case, you are a young knight, the younger you are, the more rest you need. I do not need sleep, you do, and I know you do." She said, pulling another chair and placing it in front of the door and facing the bed, "Trust me, I'll keep an eye on you."

The boy sighed before finally giving in, "If you say so."

She hummed in response, watching him lay on the bed and slowly drift off to sleep. She smiled, glad she was able to have someone to accompany her on her adventures, and no longer having to fight alone.

"...Open up."
