The movie began with a five year old Percy in the bathroom watching his mother prepare a bath for him.

"Percy, please..." Sally Jackson pleaded with her filthy son. Percy was covered in mud.

"Ew!" Most people exclaimed.

"No." Percy said stubbornly.

"Percy, honey, you're filthy. Please get in the bathtub." Sally chided.

"No."

Sally sighed.
"Yes."

"No." Percy crossed his arms.

"YES." Sally stood up.

"NO." Percy stood his ground.

"Y-E-S." She narrowed her eyes.

"N-O." He lifted his chin defiantly.

"Percy, please." Sally's face softened.

"Why doesn't Percy want to take a bath?" Reyna asked herself.
Octavian shushed her.
She gave him a black eye.

"SHHH!" some campers yelled at her.

"Why don't you want to take a bath, honey?" Sally asked, sitting back down.

"Becawse. Therws a fwish in va tube." Percy said in his five-year-old way of speaking.

"I wike fwishies." He smiled, showing that his two front teeth were missing.

Sally looked in the tub. Sure enough ther was a huge striped bass in the tub.

"How on Earth did it get in here?!" Sally exclaimed.

"I dunno. Awsk hwim.

"That... was random." Connor frowned. Travis agreed.
"Not required." he nodded.

Now: For the next clip:

PERCY: AGE 6

"Percy, honey..."

"Yes, mom?" Percy smiled, his unruly raven-black hair falling into his playful, innocent sea-green eyes.

"I want you to meet someone..." Sally Jackson smiled at her son nervously.

"Who is it mommy?"

"Honey, meet Gabriel. We are...engaged." Sally sighed, almost as if the words were poison to her mouth.

"Hey kidddddd..."Gabe drawled on, their sweet-smelling apartment began to reek with the smell of cigarettes and alcohol.
"Go away!" Percy yelled at Gabe, hiding behind his mother.
Gabe snarled at Percy.
Percy whimpered.

"Poor kid" Dakota frowned, feeling a bit of anger from how this 'Gabe' figure had treated Percy.

TIME WARP: PERCY 12 years old

"Percy honey, please... try Yancy...for me." Sally Jackson asked her son. She looked beside herself with grief.

"But mom... don't you want me around?" Percy looked close to tears.

Almost everyone teared up. A few sniffled.

Sally hesitated. "Yes, honey. You know that... but... I need to tell you something-"

"SALLY!!! MORE BEER!!!!!" Came a naisly voice. Gabe.

A Few kids snarled.

"I'll be right back." and Sally left.

Percy didn't know it... but that was the night that Gabe finally hit Sally when she disobeyed. The next day, Percy left for Yancy, not seeing his mom for another 7 months.

The screen dimmed then went out.

"That's horrible!" exclaimed Gwen.

A chorus of "Yeah!"s and "Poor kid..." filled the room.

Then,

The screen once again, lit up.
