As I laid on the road, I closed my eyes. I squinted my eyes as hard as I could to block out the sun from hitting them. I waited for a while and nothing happened. And then something blocked the sun. I opened my eyes. It was him. He was a tall tan figure with straight black hair that fell effortlessly perfect and dark brown eyes that looked black.

He reached his hand out to me. I looked at him curiously. He didn't have to say anything, his eyes said everything for him. I pulled myself up with the lasting strength I had. When I got back on my feet, I couldn't help but wince in pain. I quickly shifted my weight to my other leg.

I looked at the tall figure standing in front of me. "Looks like you hurt your ankle pretty badly" he said. His voice was deep and it had a hint of manliness to it that I had never heard of.  "No really? I didn't know that". The sarcasm in my voice was as loud as ever now. "Do you thank all your heroes like this?" He asked as a chuckle escaped his mouth.

That's when I realized it, the noise of the cars honking waiting for us to get off the road. I felt confused and stupid. "God, Char you really know how to be nice" I thought to myself. My confidence shriveled to pieces. I quickly walked to the sidewalk, every step filled of more step then the last. He quickly followed, holding my bag with him.

"Looks like you took a great fall there, here let me see" he said as he laid down the bag next to a pole. I quickly backed away. "Just because you saved me, doesn't make you my Prince Charming" I responded. Ki!

Adrenaline rushed through me as I remembered I still have to pick Ki up. Enough Adrenaline to distract me from the pain coming from my leg, enough to get my stuff. "I've got to go" I quickly yelled as I made my way. I ran down the road with my bad leg the adrenaline covering the pain up.  I ran and ran until I reached a school, outside was a boy.

He had dark brown hair with emerald eyes that were greener then the grass. He stood there smoking a cigarette, blowing the smoke into the street. "What happened to you?". He scanned me up and down. "Nothing. What happened to you?". I looked at him, giving him back the same menacing attitude. "Nothing. Where's Kiolin?" He asked. I looked at him, the cigarette still in his mouth. "I'll make you a deal, if you stop asking questions I'll let you smoke until we reach Evan's shop". "Deal" he said.

The ride to Evans was quiet except the few winces that escaped my mind. Luckily Evans was near a hospital so I'd didn't have to go far. Once we reached Evans, Ki hurried inside while I continued down the block. I reached the hospital, and in no time had an appointment. I awaited my doctor on the chair. A few minutes passed and he still wasn't there. I started getting paranoid and my breathing got fast.

And then the door knob turned. Outside came the same tall figure, this time with a clipboard and a doctors coat on. "You've got to be kidding me", he looked up. "Well look who it is" he said dropping his hands to his side as he held the clipboard. "Girl from the street". "Lelua" I corrected him. "What?" He responded. "Lelua, that's my name" I responded, happy at his confusion.

"Okay Lelua, strip please" he said his arms crossed against his chest. "EXCUSE ME?!"
