Author's note. Kinda wanted to spice it up a bit by making them go on the Frontier. Thought it'd be a good way for Elliot to reveal his feelings. ;)

Words could not describe the emotions Elliot hid from none other than you. He could try to sound it out, but he would end up fumbling over his sentences as he normally would in any other situation - even in the Frontier. The energetic attitude he has towards things always has his actions running further ahead than his rational thoughts could even handle. And, God, that did not help at all when it came to trying catch your attention. Anything to see a brief glimpse of your luminous, captivating visage that left him breathless before its attention wandered back to that mysterious hunter, Bloodhound. The irony of it was painful to him, too; he could catch anyone's - anyone's - attention, except for yours.

Elliot couldn't help but have green glimmer in his brown eyes at the sight of you and Bloodhound bickering to each other, exchanging tips and tricks to use on the Apex Games' battlefield and commenting on each other's skills. He watched this from aside the bar where all the other Legends would linger about, awaiting their next call to arms, and sat at his booth alone. Even Caustic was talking to someone, and that man was the most reclusive person Elliot knows.

A sigh escapes his lips as he rests his head on his hand, elbow leaning on the booth's table. His gaze still lingers on you as he brainstormed ideas on how to strike up some form of conversation without seeming like the attention-seeking trickster he is. Any attempt to show you a serious side of him, a side where he's not always playing around, not always trying to impress girls for silly one-night-stands. Something real.

But before he knew it, his train of thoughts were cut off by the familiar, stern voice of the announcer that chimed into the bar. It was alerting the Legends about the new game taking place in five minutes, and Elliot knew that meant it was time to pick a team or go solo. And he loathed going solo.

He scans the bar room, seeing that people have already paired up in their own groups of threes, and disappointed at the fact that Wraith and Pathfinder went with Lifeline this round.

The Trickster pouts and furrows his brows in slight disappointment, returning his gaze to the table where you and Bloodhound sat only to see that you were standing right before him, a warm, welcoming smile plastered on your face. Your presence pleasantly took him off guard, but as an attempt to play it off, he grinned and leaned back on the booth's cushioned seat with his hands behind his head, putting that all too cocky persona on yet again.

"Oh, heya, (Y/N). What brings you here, doll?" Elliot says smoothly, though inside he grimaced at himself for the petname he gave you. Doll? Is that it? You've got way more etter stuff than that, Witt.

A giggle comes from you in response and his heart jumps at the sound. How sweet. "Well," you began, "Bloodhound and I were wondering if you'd care to join us for the round?" You gesture to Bloodhound and they nod in response, remaining quiet as you spoke.

The Trickster pauses, leaving a lingering leer onto the hunter as the one-sided tension bubbled within him. This caught your attention and you spoke up again, shuffling awkwardly to break the short silence.

"Unless... you don't want to? Which is okay! I can understand. The team composition may not work out and I-"

"No, no! I'll do it." Elliot stands up quickly, his cheerful character returning back to him when turning towards you. "Team comp... composi... Ah, good teamwork or not, let's do this thing!"
