9. Danger

Chan Mi POV:

It is when I feel the coldness of the water, I wake up. In front of me is Xiumin and Luhan. Why are they here? Did they saw my cowardliness?

"You guys...?" I question.

Xiumin looks at Luhan and looks back at me,"We were worried about you."

Luhan adds,"You seems like in a rush, so we came...to see if we can help."

I nod,"Oh, now that you see everything, you can go." I don't need their pity.

"Chan Mi, you don't look good," Luhan insist. She put her hand on my arm. I move back to avoid her touch.

"Go away," I shout.

Xiumin and Luhan froze for a second. Luhan's hand is still in the air. Maybe they think I'm weak and I need their help. I'm Chan Mi, the strong, rebellious, Chan Mi. My eyes are on the shoes of Xiumin and Luhan, they didn't move.

"Go away," I said,"Don't make me repeat myself."

Then, as I expected they left. This is what I ask for, but I feel empty. Why is that?

Before I can think of anything, I need to find Angel first. From what is at the scene, it seems like she is moved to a different area. There is no blood on the floor, so she isn't killed. At least she is still alive, she can still come back. It's not too late yet. Now that I see how broken I will be if she left me, I need to get her back. Even if it is throwing my only pride away.

- 1 hour Later-

The man in front of me, who is suppose to be the closest person to me, is just another man. He still looks like the king that is in power. His pitch black hair show no sign of age and his mature face gives off a charm. I can still see some women go after him.

"What is it," he said with a winning smile. I lost this battle.

"$100,000," I look at him with cold eyes.

He touch his chin and tap the glass desk. The sound echo through the room. If it is back then, I'll already leave. But I can't do it this time, I need his money. Angel's life is being controlled in his hand.

"Come home for dinner and...I want you to meet someone," he finally said. Come home? There is no home for me to come home to.

I laugh out loud,"Sure...lets go home!"

"I want the money now," I still remember to get the money before 5. He open his drawer and take of a piece of blank check. He filled it in and hand it to me. My hand grab the check and stuff it in my pocket. It is my first time asking for money and it felt horrible. This check will cost what he wanted from me.

I take out my phone and text Angel's cellphone. If the kidnappers have Angel, they will have her phone.

Chan Mi:

$100,000 I'll give it to you. Don't hurt Angel or I will hurt you back.

I press send and waited for a reply. As expected, they reply quickly.

Angel:

Money and her can be traded. 3 days later, send us the money. Don't worry, she will be fine for the next 3 days.

Three days?! What are they doing to Angel? The more days it is going to be, the more dangerous it will be. But they say she will be fine. It is the only thing I can rely on. Today, I'll just follow him back home to satisfy him, so I can have my $100,000.

"Let's go," he said. He got up and pull me out of the office. He look rushed.

~~~House~~~

The mansion's door opened and there is two rows of maids on each side. This image exist since I was young. All the maids bow and said in the same tune,"Welcome home."

One maid came up and take the coat from him. Another one grabs his scarf while the other one takes out a slipper. Father wave at them as they went back to what they are doing. He always acts like the king.

"You did not want me to come home to see you act like a king," I said as I walk in the dinning room. I know every inch of the house; I spend most of my childhood here.

"No, I want you to meet someone," he answers with a calm voice. I hated how he always have no emotions. Like nothing matters to you.

Naturally, I sit on the massaging chair. I press the button and let my shoulders rest.

"Where is that special person you want me to meet?" I ask as I open the 104 inch tv.

"Caitlyn!" He yells upstairs. My eyes stare at the stairs. Soon, I hear clicking sounds.

A pair black and gold high heels appear at the corner of the stairway. Then, her tight black dress and her brown, curly hair. When I turn my focus at her face, it shocked me. Her milky skin and bright black eyes reflect how young she is. But at the corner of her mouth is a black moe. It makes her look sexy.

I take back my attention from her and look at my father.

"Wow, how much you pay for that?" I smirk.

"Chan Mi, where is your matters?!" he yells. Now I'm impressed, my dad seems to care about her a lot.

The women came down and hook her hand around his arms,"My name is Caitlyn and I'm going to marry your father."

I raise my eyebrows," Now this is something. Do you like his money or what?"

Father was about to move his hand, but she stopped it.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you. We are true love," she talked back.

With the corner of my mouth curved, I turn on the TV.

"Sure, it is true love," I carelessly said.

Caitlyn was about to say something back, but she hold it in. She isn't the first women to be next to my father. After mom died, in 2 weeks, he bought another woman home. Never trust a man. However, mom deserve it.

They walked away and went to their rooms. I know I hit the bitch point of Caitlyn. This makes me happy.

After 30 minutes, I calculated the time and get up from my chair. I walk straight to the 3rd floor. Then, I stand outside at one of the rooms. Just only a few minutes, Caitlyn walked out. She stumbles when she saw me.

"Why," she walks back to the door," you are here?"

I step closer to her. She is taller than me, but I still look at her right in the eye.

"Don't play around with me. Go back to where you came from...I don't want to see you again," My sharp nail moves around her face," or else...I'll cut your face up!"

When I walked away, she is still in shocked. I like how she react to it. The terror in her eyes make everything more interesting.
