Aizawa Shota just wanted one thing: peace and quiet. Sadly, he was never able to achieve such desires due to this over-the-top boy who he called a friend. The boy, Yamada Hizashi, had managed to annoy Aizawa into letting Yamada call him by his first name. Aizawa would never admit it, but he enjoyed being around the hyper boy who he ate lunch with.

"Hey Shota!" the blonde Aizawa was just thinking about ran up to him, one arm waving wildly while the other held his lunch. Aizawa just nodded in greeting, already eating his lunch. Yamada just kept looking at the dark-haired boy.

"What's wrong?" he mumbled to his usually loud friend. After hearing his voice, the blonde started stuttering out an apology. Before he can get an actual sentence out, he started coughing.

"Sho? Is this normal?" Yamada asked, showing Aizawa his hand that had a petal and blood on it. The questioned male shook head.

"You should go to Recovery Girl," he responded, "I'll tell the teach."

"Thanks Sho! I owe you a big one!" Yamada smiled as he got up from the lunch table. Luckily, he had already finished his food. He headed to the nurse's office and opened the door.

"Yamada? What're you doing here?" Recovery Girl asked as the blonde walked in. He held out his hand, showing the blood and the singular, dull yellow flower. The nurse's eyes widened.

"Do you know what this is from? It happened at lunch," Yamada asked. Recovery Girl nodded, looking through her desk for something.

"Hanahaki, it's a rare disease that happens when somebody falls in unrequited love. Then again, the use of unrequited in this situation is kinda shaky. Even though it's extremely rare, there is a surgery that can get rid of it. Most don't like the drawbacks of the surgery, though. The feelings for and memories of the one you love are erased. There is another way, but most people pass before they can complete that way," Recovery Girl explains. She seemed to finally find what she was looking for.

"Can you tell me the other way? I don't really want to forget them..." Yamada asked awkwardly. The nurse nodded with a downcast look.

"You can try to get them to fall in love. Or, if they already love you, get them to realize their feelings. Then, after they are in love, you kiss them. If they aren't truly in love, the kiss won't work and the disease will likely get worse. They also have to accept your kiss or be the one to start the kiss. These pills should help slow down the process of Hanahaki," Recovery Girl said with a worried expression. She handed Yamada the pills.

"Thank you," he said, taking the pills from her hand. He put a fake smile across his face to reassure the nurse that he'll be fine. Nobody sees that it's fake because Yamada has gotten quite good at them. Aizawa always saw through his mask though. That is one of the reasons why the blonde fell in love.

"Go home and do a bit more research. I'll tell your teacher that I sent you home," Recovery Girl said. Yamada nodded as he turned to leave. "Be careful Yamada, you are a promising hero."

"I will be," he said as he looked over his shoulder. He walked out of the office and closed the door. Quietly, he walked out of the school, thought plaguing his mind. He let out a dry laugh when he got inside his room. "Hanahaki, huh? One-sided love? This is what I get for crushing on the most distant person in the school. This is what I get for being myself."
