Not Good Enough (Vkook/Taekook) Pt 1

Okay so I haven't updated in FOREVER and I'm sorry

Taehyung had been noticing more and more that Jungkook was acting very weird lately. It began with practicing for much longer than any of the other members, which wasn't exactly usual... but it worried Tae anyway, since Jungkook would crawl into their bed at night, not even able to change clothes or have a simple conversation before he was out cold for the night.

Then it was being extra competitive against the other members, weather it was a game they were playing on camera, or a simple game between only the seven of them. Heck, he was beginning to act like every game was a live or die situation! Even for games where it was impossible to have a winner or loser at all!

And whenever Taehyung or any of the other members tried to talk to jungkook about why he was being so competitive, and assure him that losing wasn't the end of the world, he would try to change the subject. And if that failed, then he would walk off and just not listen to them at all.

And weirder things had just kept happening. It's been going on for weeks now and Taehyung was sick of it! And that was why today, he was going to figure out exactly what was wrong with Jungkook.

"Kookie!" Taehyung bounced up behind the younger, trapping him in a hug from behind.

"Hyung, get off!" Jungkook half-heartedly struggled to escape the hug.

"Kook, I was thinking... that today you and me could do something fun! Just the two of us!"

Jungkook looked as if he was considering it, and even though Taehyung was keeping a happ expression on the outside... on the inside he was hoping with everything he had that Jungkook would say yes.

"Okay..." Taehyung smiled even wider, pulling Jungkook against him tighter in excitement.

"We're gonna have so much fun!!" Taehyung cheered, literally bouncing where he stood.

After taehyung's excitement calmed a bit, he told Jungkook to get get ready and that they'd leave in fifteen minutes.

"But Tae where are we going?!" Jungkook asked, looking after Taehyung in frustration as the older retreated down the hall to his and Jimin's shared room.

"You'll see, it's a surprise Jungkookie!" Taehyung, unhelpfully, answered.

Fifteen minutes later, Taehyung and Jungkook met back in the living room, all ready. Taehyung was dressed in long dark blue pants and a loose button up striped shirt. Jungkook was dressed in light blue jeans, a dark red t-shirt, and had a black hoodie tied around his waist.

"Alright, into the car!" Taehyung proclaimed, leading Jungkook out to the driveway. Taehyung made a dramatic guesture of opening door for Jungkook, who rolled his eyes fondly and climbed in.

Taehyung scurried around and hopped into the driver's seat, making sure they both had their seat belts on before pulling out.

After a couple minutes of driving silently, Taehyung pulled over. Jungkook sent him a questioning gaze. Taehyung rummaged around in his bag for a few moments, seemingly searching for something. Until, eventually, "Aha! Found it!" he pulled out... a long, slim piece of black cloth.

"What's that?" Jungkook asked, wondering why on earth Tae seemed so excited about it.

"It's a blindfold." Taehyung answered, as if there was nothing weird about him pulling a blindfold put of his bag with no explanation as to why.

"Yeah, okay, but why do you have it?" Jungkook asked, feeling more confused by the second.

Taehyung looked serious all of a sudden. "Do you trust me, Jungkook?"

Jungkook nodded nervously, feeling himself blush under Taehyung's intense stare.

"Good." Taehyung reached across, holding the blindfold up near Jungkook's face...

"Wait!" Taehyung froze, looking slightly down to see a very flustered, and obviously very nervous Jungkook.

"You're going to blindfold me?" Jungkook asked, his voice filled with anxiousness.

"Yes... But don't worry! I'm not gonna do anything bad to you." Taehyung assured.

Jungkook gulped. He trusted Taehyung. Really, he did. He just wasn't sure how okay he felt about being blindfolded, especially when they were out in public. Well, sort of... They were in the car, but still.

"Jungkook? Is it okay if I put it on now?" Taehyung asked, concern in his voice.

Jungkook hesitated, then nodded. "Yeah, put it on..."

"Let me know if it's uncomfortable, okay?" Jungkook made a small noise of confirmation, too nervous to trust his own voice not to waver.

Taehyung tied it on quickly, but even though he was quick, Jungkook was impressed by how comfortable it actually was. It left him silently wondering if Taehyung had been practicing on anybody...

"Alright, now don't worry. We're gonna move again. But you still have your seatbelt on and everything. So you're safe, okay?" Taehyung assured, guiding Jungkook's hands down to the seatbelt that was tight across the younger's chest. Jungkook nodded, tightening his hands around the seatbelt.

As they drove, Jungkook discovered how much more he noticed everything else now that he could not see. The bumps on the road and the subtle lurching of the car when they stopped and then started again were making his breath hitch every time any of it happened.

"Jungkook, are you okay? It seems like you're not breathing well..." Of course Taehyung would notice. Jungkook had hoped he wouldn't. Because he didn't want Taehyung to know that he was so nervous. Especially since Taehyung had seemed so excited to have Jungkook wear the blindfold.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just... this is new. I can't see at all... But don't worry! I just have to take a minute to get used to it."

They didn't talk the whole rest of the drive. Taehyung was focusing very intently on his driving, and Jungkook was trying to keep his breathing under control.

The car eventually came to a stop, and Jungkook heard the sound off Taehyung's seatbelt clicking off. Then Jungkook felt Taehyung lean over to clip off his seatbelt too. "Don't move, I'll come around to get you."

Taehyung came over to the other side of the car, opening Jungkook's door and helping him carefully get out the car, as the younger was still blindfolded.

With one hand around Jungkook, and the other holding the younger's hand, Taehyung led Jungkook forward.

Jungkook let himself be led blindly by Taehyung into, being careful to not trip over his own feet. He did trust Taehyung to pay enough attention to him though to not let him fall or trip over anything, so he wasn't too worried.
