Chapter: 5

Despite his protest, the sun-blasted ThunderClaw with its heat waves forcing the unhappy stallion to get up. Slowly, he got out of bed and looked around, Rarity was not in her room and there was a note on the closed door. ThunderClaw got up and trotted over to the note and read it out loud. "Dear Thunder, there was a friendship meeting meaning I had to leave for Twilight's castle. There are gems on the table if you'd like and it is recommended you come by the castle. Love, Rarity. P.S, you talk in your sleep." Thunder blushed at the last part and headed downstairs, on the table was a bowl of red gems. The grey pegasus took some before flying off to the castle. When he arrived the room was full, along with Twilight's Princess Luna, Celestia and Cadence were there.  All eyes turned to him as he walked further into the room, Twilight was glaring at him while everyone else seemed to have a neutral look. "How nice of you to finally join us," Twilight said bitterly.

"Would've been here sooner if someone didn't kick me out the castle," he mumbled. Twilight's wings flared in anger as she gave a low growl. The grey pegasus snorted and took a seat in the empty chair next to Fluttershy. There was a brief silence before Princess Cadence spoke up, "ThunderClaw, I believe we haven't met before. I'm Princess Cadence the princess of love."

"I know who you are and nice to meet you properly. I have high respect for love, it's very important. I'd be hard for anypony to not know who you are," ThunderClw looked at Twilight with his last statement which infuriated the purple alicorn even more. Cadence nodded and the meeting continued on, halfway through Thunder got bored and started to doze off. A soft nudge on his shoulder woke him up and he turned to see Fluttershy giving him a sympathetic. Thunder smiled back and then caught a glimpse of Twilight and then realized why Fluttershy was giving him a sympathetic smile. "I'm hungry," Rainbow Dash whined.

"Darling how on earth did you get this far in life with the mentality of a little filly?" Rarity asked.

"It's not my fault I didn't get anything to eat before coming here!" the rainbow-maned pegasus protested.

"Actually that does sound like a you problem," Applejack said. The three ponies started arguing while everypony else watched. Eventually, Fluttershy quietly got up and headed to the kitchen, ThunderClaw noticed and followed her. In the kitchen, Fluttershy was placing snacks on a small tray and pouring drinks. "Want some help butterscotch?". The small pegasus jumped at the sound and quickly turned to see who it was when she saw Thunder she calmed and shook her head no. The two stood in silence before ThunderClaw broke it again, "Can I ask you something?" 

"Um, sure"

"Are you and Rainbow Dash a thing?" he asked. Fluttershy froze and squeaked, it took her a few minutes to answer. 

"N-no but I'd like us to be," she said barely above a whisper.

"You should ask her out," ThunderClaw replied.

"I know she likes mares but she wouldn't like somepony like me, "Fluttershy said. Thunder Thought for a second before replying. "I think she would and what's the worst that could happen, she's the element of loyalty. She's not gonna stop being your friend and I doubt she'd treat you any different."

"You really think so?" Fluttershy asked looking up to him with a hopeful expression.

"Hell yeah, plus if this goes well you get to taste the rainbow if you know what I mean," he said with a wink. Fluttershy squeaked and blushed. ThunderClaw chuckled and left to go back to the meeting. When he returned everyone was having a casual conversation, except Twilight.  "Where were you?"

"Right here, maybe if you got your head out of your ass you would've noticed me," he replied. Rainbow Dash busted out laughing along with Applejack and Pinkie Pie while Rarity giggled. Celestia, Luna and Cadence exchanged a look, as ThunderClaw and Twilight began to argue Fluttershy came in with a plate of apples, carrots and ranch along with juice. Rainbow Dash noticed and flew over, "Snacks!". The group took a few and Fluttershy blushed at the praise Rainbow Dash gave her. As the meeting came to an end, Luna, Celestia and Cadence said their goodbyes and left. Not long after one by one Twilight's friends left eventually leaving her and ThunderClaw alone. As he began walking up the stairs he was stopped by a weird feeling and suddenly flung out the castle doors. 'Oh right, I'm homeless'
