Harry's POV
Today was the day of the game, and today was also the day where I'll be finally admitting what I truly feel about her, and hopefully we'll close the space between us.
This was the last round and it was also a tie. Meaning, whoever scores the goal will win. Today's game was a fifty-fifty. It made my heart beat faster and the rush of adrenaline was rushing inside every vein and nerve inside my body.
Calvin's got the ball, and he dodged William, our opponent from the other team. He was running for his dear life, as of he was being chased by the wild. I signaled him to pass the ball towards me since I was closer to the goal, but he didn't even mind me. He was focusing on his own, and he wasn't even bothering to listen to our teammates our even the coach himself.
He was just a few paces away from the goal, if he doesn't aims it right, then we'll lose for sure. This was out last and nerve-racking chance, and it was up to him to win our team.
He threw the ball with the aim he had in mind, and the ball went through the goal. I looked at the score board and saw that our score added up to one point that Calvin just made, and we won the final match.
The crowd roared and cheered, well except for the supporters of the other team of course. They audience held up banners and signs and they were all cheering and giving us their support.
I patted Calvin on the back as he ran up to us after he scored the goal. He chucked, and our teammates kept praising him and giving him compliments.
"Congrats mate. That final goal was amazing, you're an absolute legend!" I congratulated, and glanced at the other team. They were giving us some of their glares and I could here they muttering how Calvin's goal was a complete fluke, but they quickly returned their attention to their stressed coach who was complaining about how they didn't won this match.
"Thanks, couldn't have done it without you guys." He said, and they we all cheered.
Our coach cleared his throat, and we shifted our attention at him.
"Congrats to all of you." He said and laughed at the end.
"Guys, what are we waiting for? There's an after party at the cafeteria, let's go!" One of our teammate said, and we all chuckled since he was looking forward to the party all day.
"I'm completely knackered, I'll be resting. You lads have fun." The coach said, and we waved him goodbye before we went to the cafeteria.
I felt my stomach churn when I entered the cafeteria. Since I know what was awaiting for me, and the idea of it was making me nervous.
How was I going to tell her? What if she rejects me? Should I really do this? All of these questions rambled inside my head, and Im afraid couldn't find the answer to them.
"Mate, congrats on the match." Louis said, and I was a bit startled when he gave me a pat on the back.
Louis seemed to notice that I was out of myself, and he gave me a skeptical look.
"Anything wrong mate?" He asked with concern in his voice.
"Well, um.. Can we talk privately?" I requested, and he didn't seemed to mind.
"And mate, do you lads snuck some beer?" I asked hoping he'd say yes, since I really needed some of that right now.
"There's more than just beer." He gave me a smirk, and I quietly chuckled. These lads sure know how to snuck in without getting notice.
We went to the corner of the cafeteria, where there was barely any student. Almost all of them are in the mingling or getting a drink for themselves.
