The day of the fateful assasination occured was a peaceful morning in the country of Maelstonia. Its capital, Maelstos, glistened and shined overlooking Lake Joderos with its towers and buildings stretching to the sky.

As the townspeople began to awaken, as well as the king, Maeler Mastr, an evil plan began to unfold in the palace of the royal family. A rebellion group of the Maelstonians, the Ethanistani, had snuck into the palace to assassinate the king. While the king was preparing for his day ahead, an Ethanistani rebel disguised as a guard, burst into the kings quarters.

"Your highness, there has been a breach in the palace. I have been sent to guard you until the siuation is taken care of". He said,

"Fine, just do your job." the king replied groggily. With that, the rebel shut the doors of King Mastr's quarters, and killed him with a swift strike with his spear to the head. News got around the country that the king had been killed. The once bountiful and peaceful country of Maelstonia, had fallen into a state of pure anarchy. The country had divided in two; the Ethanistani Rebellion, and the Monarchy of Maelstonia. With this, the 1st Maelstonian Civil War had begun.

The Ethanistani Rebellion was led by young Levi Mastr I, the father of who will be one of the cruelest generals in the history of Nerferia. He was a man of persuasion and strength. He ruled the communist rebellion with an iron fist. He left no room for mistakes, and created an extremely powerful army.

The remains of the Maelstonian monarchy were controlled by the uncle of Maeler Mastr, Mayc Mastr II. He had built up militia and armies to defeat the rising Ethanistan Menace. One thing that blocked his path off winning the war was his belief in the traditional ways of old Mastervania. He had made new weapons with old ways of building instead of newer, better ways of making weapons and armor.

So from here, the war began. A rising menace who would one day contribute to the evil ways of an extremely cruel and tyrannical military-based group. The ruined nation would have brothers against brothers, friends against friends, and possibly one of the most devestating events in the history of all of Maelstonia.
