I pull my blonde hair into a bun, and have a stare down with my laptop. It's been almost a week. A WEEK! People were so anxious, more thank usual since I left off with a cliffhanger. But how do I solve this cliffhanger?
Should Megan make it on to the train? Is that too predictable? Should the train leave and she doesn't make it? How will they be together then! Should Daniel not be on the train? Is that TOO CHEESY?
I slam my hand down on the table and my coffee sloshes into the table. I jump up and grab some napkins from the counter.
"Calm down you might scare away the college junkies." Trevor tells me, helping me wipe down the table.
Trevor worked at our local coffee shop and was used to my usual outbursts when I hit writers block. He was one of the few people that knew about my fandom life.
There was only three people that knew about my secret life. Trevor, Jessica, and Andy, also known as my only friends.
"Sorry, I wouldn't want to interrupt their quest to make sure they get into every college alive." I roll my eyes. We have a joke about this one group of kids that come here that believe the only reason to live is to get into collage. They are freshman and studying for their S.A.Ts like honestly? Calm down people.
"What's the issue now with Megan and Daniel?" Trevor asks pulling a chair up to my table.
He is always interested in my story. It fascinates him that I have made up an entire life for people. Trevor also is failing English class, so writing isn't easy to impress him. I personally think he is amused by the followers I have. Over the past 7 months of writing my story I have gained 247,854 reads. And thousands upon thousands of comments.
However that isn't the only way that I am apart of the fandom world. I own a fan page on Instagram with 10 thousand followers.
School is a VERY different story. No one knows about my fan world. And no one really knows I exist. I wish I was kidding. Besides my three friends, I am all alone.
I sigh. "So you remember how Daniel is leaving to go to New York?"
"Of course it was the biggest plot twist in history." Trevor tells me.
I playfully shove his arm. "Shut up. Anyways so the last chapter ended with the train starting to pull away and Megan is racing after the train."
"Yes I remember. It killed me." He informs me.
"Well I don't know what to do now!" I bury my head into my arms.
He looks at my notes of ideas. Looking at my face over the page he tells me: " have her race down the train"
"Yeah but..."
"Ah ah ah! I didn't finish. Have it be the wrong train that she chases after and have Daniel find her crying on the floor." He shrugs and begins to stand back up.
"Did I ever tell you that you should become a writer and be more famous than me?" I tell him jotting down his ideas.
"Yes. About every time I help you." He says walking back to the cash register.
"Well it's true!" I shout to him.
I write down a couple of last minute words and shove all of my papers back into my binder. This binder (also known as my other limb) is stuffed full of as many papers that you can imagine. Characters, plot, dialogue, etc. Including my prized possession, my notebook. This notebook is the third i've used so far for my story, and it is bursting full of pages I have stapled in. Thus my binder being gigantic.
Then I pull my bag onto my shoulder and wave goodbye to Trevor. I push open the heavy door to exit the coffee shop and wait for my eyes to adjust to the blinding sun. After walking to my car I shove my keys in and drive home.
