Frost stings at my nose as I run for the library. The huge bell sounds. I was late for my reading class.

"Shoot." I hiss.

"Need a lift?" I turn around see a boy on a motorcycle. I let out a gasp. Holy cow, I think. He's so hot.

"Sure." I stammer. He scoots forwards and I climb onto his motorcycle.

"Hold on." He says. "I drive fast."

"Is it your first year here?"
The boy breaks the silence ten second later.

"Yes." I say. I feel myself blushing.

"It's always a disaster on the first day." He chuckles.

"Stop here." I say. "And thank you for the ride. How are you going to go to your class on time?"

"Teacher's favorite." He flashes me a grin.

"Um... ok." I turn around and go to class before he can see me blushing.

As I walk to lunch, I run into my dorm mate, Alia.

"Hi Linda." She says

"Hi Alia. Are you sitting with anyone?" I ask.

"Nah. Sit here with me. Met any cute boys yet?"

I'm stunned by the question. "Excuse me?" I cock my head.

"Cute boys." She says.

"Ummmm... well, there was a cute blonde that offered me a ride to the library." I blush as a confessed.

"Really? There's a blonde boy that asked me on a date!" Alia smiles goofily.

"What's his name?" I ask

"Daymond." She smiles. "He's a cute blondie. I'll introduce you to him later." An uneasy feeling creeps up my spine. I simply nod, but I feel like something is very wrong.

Alia walks out of the restroom wearing a dark blue dress. She holds a brown leather purse and a small diamond necklace.

"Ta da!" She exclaims.

"I love it!" I say. "Let's go. I'll drop you off." We walk out to my car.

"Put your seat belt on." I say. "I'm a crazy driver."

"Don't worry. I've seen worse." Alia puts her seat belt on. A loud click echoes in the car. I put my hands on the wheel and press the pedal. The motor screeches and my car takes off. Alia shrieks.

"Red light! RED LIGHT!" Alia yells.

I press the brake. My tires screech. Alia jerks forwards, gasping.

"Hello? Where's your drivers license?" Alia jokes.

"Meh. I barely passed." I said. Alia rolls her eyes.

"Go on." She says. I press the pedal.

"Wait- NO!" Alia buries her face in her hands. "You just ran that red light."

I hear sirens wailing.

"Hang on." I say. I pick up my speed and run about 7 stop signs. Alia screams even louder.

"I don't wanna dieeeee!" Alia looks behind us at the police chasing us. I swerve side to side, avoiding cars to try to lose the police.

"I'm gonna go onto the sidewalk." I said. "Hold on and tell me if I'm about to run over anyone."

"What?" Alia's eyes widen. She screams as I drive onto the sidewalk. Screaming people run everywhere.

"Right! Left! No! Don't run over that squirrel!" Alia looks behind me.

"Look out!" I brake as I almost ran over a little girl.

"Oops." I scream. "So here's the plan. I'm gonna drive backwards. I'll look in the mirror, but if I'm gonna run over anyone or anything tell me."

"But I don't know my left and rights!" Alia protests.

"Then how did you tell which direction to go?" I ask.

"I got lucky!" Alia screams.

"Whatever!" I shout. I start to drive backwards.

"Ahh! A person!" Alia tells me. I change my lane and hear a thump. Alia screams and runs out.

"Oh look." I say. "It's that guy."

"It's my boyfriend!" Alia screams.
