"Want to go to the party with me tonight?" Samantha asks, while walking back into my room.
"What party?" I ask. I didn't know there was a party.
"It's just some party." She says.
"Samantha, you know I don't do parties." I say.
"It's not a normal party though. It's a beach party. You don't have to drink. Please Syana?" She basically begs. She pouts her bottom lip.
"Fine. But I will not be drinking." I say. Her eyes light up then she immediately goes to my closet.
"We need to start getting you ready now." She says, turning to me then turning back to my hung up clothes.
It's just one party. What could go wrong?
I managed to talk Samantha into just letting me choose my own outfit and she can do the rest. So I chose a kind of loose fitting crop top but it goes pretty low so there is not too much of my stomach showing. I throw a pair of dark ripped skinny jeans in with it and when I come out of the bathroom, Samantha looks at me head to toe then gives me an approving look.
She then goes on to straighten out my curls and then gives me a smokey eye, matched with nude lipstick.
She then does her look but it doesn't take her long. She did her hair and make up first then put on her red tight dress she brought with her so she could get ready here then leave.
"Are you ready?" She asks.
"Not really." I say. She laughs then grabs her car keys.
We ride to the beach with music blaring through the speakers and both of us screaming along to the music.
We pull up then nerves wash through me. Nothing can go wrong, right?
We get out then we head to the party. Music is blasting all around. There is a stand full of all kinds of liquor.
There is people that already look drunk. Some are dancing and grinding on other people and some is either sitting or laying on the sand making out.
There is nothing really interesting about this. It just looks like a bunch of teenagers are only here just to get drunk and hook up.
Why did I agree to come here? I hate parties. They are all boring. Samantha has already left me standing here alone, she said that she was going to get a drink but I haven't seen her since and it's only been five minutes since we got here.
I start walking and pushing past people. Suddenly a hand wraps around my arm and I swing around seeing who it was that grabbed me. I come face to face with Maddison.
"I don't know what he see's in you. He probably just wants to hook up then leave you. But I do know this, you better stay away from Reece. He is mine." She says with disgust laced in her voice.
"It seems he see's more in me than he does you. Even if that were true, he found someone better to hook up with instead of someone who needs make up iust to look even close to decent." I stab, then walk away from her. I push through the crowd that formed during the confrontation. Everyone has a look of surprise on their face. I am surprised to y'all.
Coming here was a mistake.
I get away from the loud music to try and see if I can get ahold of my dad to come get me. But, he doesn't answer.
Maybe Reece will answer. I go to my contacts and click his name. It starts ringing so I wait and see if he answers before it goes to voicemail.
"Hey." He says.
