(7) It's A...GIRL

Bucky caught hell from his grandmothers on Thanksgiving but he didn't let that stop him from doing what he wanted to do. It was a week before Christmas break was about to start the day of their gender appointment. Sydney told him about it earlier in the week but when she went to find him for him to go with her he was no where to be found. Bucky left school during lunch and never came back as he and Aubrianna the new cheer captain left to go have sex and get high. 

Sydney came up to Caitlin at her locker " Hey Caitlin" 

"Oh hey Syd what's up?" she said

"You haven't seen Bucky have you?' Sydney said

"Not since 2nd period why is something wrong with the baby?' Caitlin said 

"Oh no.. I um I'm 15 weeks today see my little bump.. I have an appointment in like 45 minutes it's the gender appointment and I can't find him I really don't want to go alone. I don't have anyone to go with me it's just me and my dad." she said 

Caitlin pulled out her phone and texted her mom that she was leaving early to go with Sydney. She closed her locker "let's go I'll go with you then we will buy a cake and the Rogers Bakery make it for us then we can let him know by cake he loves cake." she said 

"You would do this for me" Sydney said

"Yes you are my friend Sydney and I will do this for you. He's an ass and doesn't know how to grow up yet." she said as they checked out then Sydney and her took off to go to her appointment. 

"So did you tell him that it was today?' she said 

"Yeah I did earlier in the week but maybe I should of reminded him." Sydney said 

They arrived at the appointment Caitlin went back with her and got to see the baby moving around on the monitor "The baby is really moving." she said 

"I know the baby is always moving." Sydney said 

"Okay mama it looks like the baby is...a girl." the doctor said 

After the appointment they went to the bakery and got a cake made. They took it to the Barnes' house. Caitlin sat down and Winnie said "Where's my son?'

"He skipped out.. I went instead cause she didn't want to go alone. So I texted my mom and told her that I was going." Caitlin said 

"I couldn't find him anywhere at the school." Sydney said 

James looked down and said "I'll go find him don't cut that cake open." 

"Did someone say cake. "Bucky said as he came into the house.

"Where the hell were you?' Sydney said

"Whoa .. was I suppose to be somewhere." he said 

Caitlin shook her head at him and said "Yeah but I went in  your place so she wasn't alone." 

"The gender appointment Bucky" Sydney said 

"Oh no.. I'm sorry Sydney.." he said 

"The cake is for you I already know the gender." Sydney said 

"Syd I"m sorry I forgot." he said as he walked over to the cake and started to cut it open and saw pink. "It's a girl.." he said 

"Yeah.. now I have to go thanks for going with me Caitlin and buying the cake " as she hugged Caitlin "Anytime" she said

Bucky looked over at Caitlin and she cut him a look then left. 

"James where did you go?' Winnie said 

"I skipped my last two classes to go with Aubrianna." he said 

James shook his head and said "Atleast Caitlin went with her and even bought this cake for her to reveal the gender to you you might want to go thank Caitlin cause she didn't have to do this. By the way I've already talked Sydney she's going with us to Aspen next week. Maybe giving you a break from the girls at school is just what you need to get your head on straight." James said 

Bucky looked down then he walked next door Caitlin answered her door "Um I wanted to say thank you for going with Sydney I made a mistake and I'm sorry that you had to clean up my mess" he said 

"It's whatever I was just being nice to Sydney cause she told me that she has no one else to do those things for her. You told her you wanted to be involved James missing appointments skipping classes to go be with other girls to get high and drunk and fucked isn't being dad of the year." she said 

"Caitlin I am 15 I don't know the slightest thing about being a dad." he said 

"Shouldn't of had unprotected sex." she said 

"When you have sex then you can make judgements on my sex life until keep your mother hen opinions to yourself Caitlin Josephine." he said as he walked back to his house.
