Poisoned Bread
By: Maria A.
In the far away land of Death Village; serfs have been getting poisoned. Lady Kathleen, the queen of the land, asked Sir Keays, one of the best knights of the land, to go ask Samantha, one of the best bakers in the land, about the murders along with the other bakers in the building.
Once Sir Keays got to the bakery, he secured his horse to one of the wooden poles and walked inside the bakery's doors. The first face he saw was Samantha.
"Samantha" Sir Keays called.
"Yes Sir Keays" Samantha answered.
"May we talk outside in private?"
"Sure"
Once Sir Keays and Samantha walked outside of the bakery and to a bench near the bakery.
"What did you want to talk about?" Samantha asked Sir Keays.
"Do you know anything about the murders?" Sir Keays asked Samantha.
"W-why a-are y-ou a-asking m-me?"
"I'm not just asking you. I'm asking everyone in the bakers."
"O-oh" Samantha took a deep breath.
"So do you know anything about the murders?"
"N-no"
"Thanks for your time. Have a good day."
"Yea have a good day...."
When Sir Keays walked inside of the bakery, Samantha walked back to her house. When Samantha arrived at her little house, she started pack up her stuff.
"I have to get out of here" Samantha said to herself.
"Why did i have to be so reckless?"
"Why couldn't I have done that differently?"
After Samantha got her stuff packed up, she decided to leave in the morning.
The next day Samantha grabbed her bag with her stuff in it and left her house. Before she could get past the bakery; she heard someone call her name.
"Samantha!" Sir Keays yelled.
Samantha stopped and turned around.
"Y-yea" Samantha replied to Sir Keays.
"Come with me, Samantha" Sir Keays told Samantha.
"O-ok"
Sir Keays and Samantha arrived at the castle.
"Lady Kathleen we have arrived" Sir Keays stated.
"Samantha you have been charged of murder" Lady Kathleen told Samantha. "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"Oh nothing much just that those pathetic serfs deserved their slow and painful death" Samantha said.
"Take her to the dungeon, Sir Keays" Lady Kathleen said.
Sir Keays took Samantha to the dungeon. After Samantha was locked up in a cell, there was no more murders but Samantha was plotting her escape and her revenge. But before she could escape she died of natural causes.
