Chapter 3: Time Controller

What--

Chime.

I heard it again.

That bell chime.

Chime.

The beast's movements seemed to slow down.

Chime.

Wait..

Everything is slowing down.

Everything.. until it stopped.

Eiru.

The Beast.

The cars down the streets.

The people.

Everything.

It stopped.

"Amazing isn't it?"

I heard a female voice whispered in my ear. I was about to turn around when a pair of hand stopped me. "Such power.. To stop time, isn't it amazing?" She spoke and brushed my hair. "You must use it to fight your enemies.

Kill them before they kill you...

You must win..

for I choosed to bestow it to you..

Do not dissapoint me, Yuri."

A roar broke me from my dream like state which was followed by a strong punch on my stomach . I groaned and vomitted blood. I fell down.

We were both falling down.

"I'LL FINISH YOU OFF, TIME STOPPER!" He screamed on my ear, making me cringe. I took ahold of his hand and throw him with all of my might. He landed straight on a building, breaking it's glasses and showering those who are down below with sharp shards. I heard a scream followed by the sound of flesh being cut and stab. My hearing had gotten alot stronger ever since Eiru attached this armor to me. I clunched my stomach . It hurts. I hurted some strangers. Damn.

I gritted my teeth.

I turned my gaze to my opponent which was now recovering from the blow. He stood up and raised his hand on the thin air. A holographic data appeared a few centimetre near his eye.

lights started forming under his hand which eventually materialized into a huge sword.

So this thing might be equipped with a weapon as well. But how? How do I even make it appear.

'Request for weapon recieved'

I jumped as the robotic voice spoke again this time showing me a list of weapon I could use. It ranged from swords to gun. I wanted to play safe so I clicked on the twin pistol photo. I felt it forming on both of my hands before it materialized completely. I pointed it on my opponent which was advancing in a inhuman speed before pulling the trigger, aiming straight at his head. He manage to dodge it and swung his huge sword barely missing my face.

I jumped back and made a dash , I finally learned how to control this thing, with a huge beast hot on my trail. I continued making a run for my life doing quick turns every now and then but I can't seem to lose him, which was getting on my nerve. I gritted my teeth , turning around and shot him with bullets. He is obviously a pro when it comes to this shit for he kept on countering my every attack. What an Ass. I thought. I sent another weapon request and this time I choosed a sword.

I stopped, clunched the handle and waited for him to get near.

CLANG.

Sparks flew in every direction as our blades met. My breathing was ragged and so does his. I draw it back and swung it again , he countered it for the gazillion times. I draw it again and swung.

CLANG.

I screamed and kick him on the face.

Wrong move.

He caught my leg. And if it weren't for the armor that I am wearing , my bones had been already broken. I screamed again, one thing that is very noticeble about me is my temper. It sometimes get into me, frustration was my biggest enemy,

but as the same time my bestfriend.

I bald my fist and punched his face. He wasn't able to dodge it for everything happened so quickly . I punched him again , putting almost all of my strength in every punch. One thing I hate was persistent fucktards. I screamed again and punched. He let go of my leg and clunch his nose.

I summoned my sword again and sliced his arm. His skin was unbelievably thick for the blade barely even reacehed his bone.

He screamed or in his case roared as I drew the blade in. I jumped back with the sword in my hand. I growled. Spectators was swarming from below us , I couldn't blame them as it's not everyday you'll see actions on this area.

I clunched the handle and glowered at my enemy.

I'll kill you.

Chime.

There it goes again.

Chime.

Time had stopped.

I took this chance and dashed towards him. I raised my sword up.

"Burn in hell" I said.

Slash.

Time returned to it's normal state.

His head flew in the mid air. Blood spurting on my face and rained those who are down below. His body started to fall down. Series of screaming could be heard after a loud thud. I made quite a rucuss. We made quite a rucuss. A loud crashing of cars followed. An explosion. I just stood there. Hovering into the mid air. My breath uneven. My weapon dematerialized. The robotic sound announced my victory.

I finally left my boring world. A new gate had opened.

"Yuri!" Eiru was advancing towards me. A huge smile plastered on her face. I smiled under my mask.

A new gate.

She glomped at me. Rubbing her face on my chest , saying how worried she was. She kept on rambling hugging me tighter. I patted her head,

CLANG.

I heard Eiru screamed before being forcefully taken away from me.

A fully armored person held her close to their chest. I saw her squirmed and started crying.

Police.

No.

Knights.

I reached out my hand but I was suddenly caged into electric bars. Eiru shouted something but I failed in hearing so as strong volts rushed into my whole body. I screamed.

Screamed and screamed.

They all just watched.

I screamed at the top of my lungs.

That was the only thing that I did until I finally lost my consciousness.
