madam foxtrot's school for extraordinary young women on the outside looks like a school for troubled rich girls to go, in reality it's something far, far different.
in reality it's a school for witches, young women who are endowed with the magical arts or sorcery. the school was originally built as a safe haven for the young witches hiding during the witch trials that happened in beacon hills almost 200 years before the salem witch trials.
the witches had resided in beacon hills for centuries even before the trial, they stayed in their school deep into the woods and didn't come out and converse with the beacon hills locals until night.
