Chapter One

*Saturday - 1:26 pm*

Oliver was staring as the raindrops rolled down the car's window, he took another glance at the misty glass and didn't seem to find anything at all. He was dying of boredom, all he had to hear is the rain penetrating the car's roof. He tapped the lady driving the car, which is his mom and asked.

"Mom, are we there yet?" he groaned.

Her mother was focused on the road, not bothering to answer any of his quick questions. She sped the car a bit, so that Oliver wouldn't whine anymore. The ride was almost a total blur for the teenage boy, it was fast and scary.

"Mom, slow down!" he blurted to his driving mother.

Her mother's eyes just rolled. "I'd be a little more focused if you'd stop your whining," she replied.

Oliver knew that being quiet is the only answer to stopping all of this dilemma, and so he did. He rolled his eyes for what seems to be a reply to his mother, who accidentally hurted his feelings because of his annoying attitude.

By any chance, Oliver and her mother are actually moving to another house. Specifically his grandmother's. It was actually a fight between his parents that changed his mother's mind and to never set foot to the house of that same man. It was for a reason. Oliver was gay, and his father didn't accepted him being so proud of his sexuality. His mother on the other hand accepted her, and so as times past by bickering got more intense than the last. And so they decided.

As the minute of thinking passed by, so as the rain. Oliver's eyes were fascinated to the sudden shift of weather and temperature, he tried to look back at the window to see a line between the sunny region and the raining part. It was like leaving the sadness behind for him.

He excitedly opened the window, just to be met by the summer breeze. He yelled, "Grandma here we come!"

He was still fascinated by the place beyond them, the vibrant colors of the birch trees along the road was so soothing for him. He grabbed a few branches as the car passed through a forest of them, he retreated back inside the car and played with the stick a bit.

*Saturday - 4:15 pm*

Oliver and his mother arrived at a seemingly large house, but not too large that it might actually looked like a small mansion. They headed towards the porch of the small mansion, and rung the doorbell a few times. The sixth rung worked, as they were greeted by an old woman who looked exactly like Oliver's mom. Ocean blue eyes, average tone of pale, and the blonde hair.

Oliver on the other hand has a mix between his mother and father obviously, with a forest green eyes from his father, and the same average tone of paleness from his mother, and a beige colored hair which is a mix between his father's cream hair and his mother's blonde. He greeted his grandmother with awe, and hugged the old woman tightly.

"Grandma! It's been millenia since I saw you," Oliver exclaimed. Giving her a new hug.

"Oh deary, you do sure know how to make someone brighten their day." His grandmother replied.

He and his mother was welcomed after the brief greet and meet, and was led to the second floor of the house where Oliver will be staying for the rest of his life. His mother told him to pick one room for him to settle in and sleep for the night, and so his mother picked the bottom right room. And it was clear for his decision, and it was the bottom left room.

"Be sure about that, after settling in and taking a small nap we'll be ready for supper. Okay?" his mother said.

He took the two heavy bags with him and continued to listen to his mother. "Okay mom, and don't worry about the last part. I'm always there," he winked at his now laughing mother.

For him the room was like an entire school, but no the dramatic came to an end after he saw that his room is directed to the second floor balcony that reaches at the side of the small mansion. He untangled the draped curtain to open up the door in the balcony, it was warm and mild. Just as his eyes met the ground, he saw someone sleeping in a hammock in between two birch trees. It was a boy.

"Hey!" he yelled. "Do you live here?" he then tried to reach out for the sleeping boy.

"Yeah, basically this is my house." the sleeping boy replied.

He groaned, he never knew making mistakes would be so awkward and especially when you're making friends with a total stranger that happens to be your neighbor. He went back in and closed the doors, he started unpacking the suitcases and threw some of his clothes in his bed. He was kinda' tired, so he took a quick nap but little did he know that he had already made himself asleep the whole afternoon.

*Saturday - 8: 01 pm*

Oliver woke up at the sound of a knocking in his room's door. He brushed off his sleep and scrambled to head into the door, where he was met by his grandmother.

"Dear, I think you had enough sleep." his grandmother insisted. "Come and join us for supper okay?"

He nodded in response.

He searched his suitcase for a nice clothe to wear, he then took off his white t-shirt and replaced it with a red collared shirt. He then took off downstairs where he was met by an amazing smell of roasted turkey, mash potatoes, and his all time favorite a small serving of ice cream. He instantly sat on one of the chairs and grabbed his spoon and fork.

"Wow, you do sure look like you haven't eaten in days!" his mother placed the plate of turkey, and handed him the mashed potatoes. "Buttered or Plain?"

"I'd really love buttered mashed potatoes," he replied.

"Oh, fancy." his mother took the butter knife and scraped a bit of the butter and wiped it in his mashed potatoes.

Oliver enjoyed the small feast in front of him, he was eager to eat after the long nap he had a while ago. It was like a the flash hitted the table, and Oliver is craving for more. Until, he reached the final food or dessert in his case. A serving of vanilla ice cream, with chocolate chips, and a whipped cream with a cherry on top to finish that all. He couldn't believe that his sweet tooth wonders have been solved.

"Thanks grand—," he was cut off by a brain freeze. He flinched and groaned at the same time.

"Becareful Olly, don't worry no need to be fast there are still more." his grandmother smiled sheepishly.

"—thanks you are the best grandma, ever!" he threw a hand in the air, and tightly hugged the old woman sitting beside him.

*Saturday - 9: 10 pm*

Everyone was heading to bed after each of them filled their bellies to the fullest, Oliver already went upstairs to check on a few things he needed to do so that he'll be totally laid back and no more of those hard work. He was bloody sweaty after all the moving. So, he went to the balcony to freshen up a little bit. When suddenly.

He saw the same boy, laying back on the same hammock with the phone as it's light source.

"Hey! Aren't you going to bed yet?" Oliver yelled from above the balcony.

The boy noticed the sudden shouting and from the looks of it he was interested. "No! But why do you keep telling me so, are you my mom?" the boy replied bluntly.

"Rude!" Oliver pouted.

Oliver didn't knew that the neighbors would be that rude, so he went back in and tightly closed the door and headed to his huge bed all to himself. He thought to use the phone before tucking in for the night. He reached to his bed side table, and with a second the screen glowed and applications were to be seen in the screen. He was pretty sure that someone texted him, but he had no any idea who it is. With his drowsiness in a way, who would think twice to sleep. And so he did.
