Just a Nerd

Chapter 1

Avery POV.

I woke up to my phone singing Katy Perry as my alarm clock. I hit dismiss and hopped out of bed. I groggily walked to my bathroom, stripped down, and hopped into the shower. I let the warm water consume me and wake me up. I got out and wrapped my towel around my chest, and picked out my clothes. I brushed out my bed head and slipped on my black skinny jeans, my light purple tank top, and my loose creme cardigan. I went back into the bathroom and put my elbow length, curly, black hair into a French braid. I put some gray eye shadow on and a little bit of pink tinted lip gloss on. I ran down stairs and grabbed my black and white Aztec book bag and an apple then hopped on my long board and rode to school.

I was riding down the hallway. Yes you read right, I longboard in the hallway. When I saw him. I got off my board and speed walked the other direction. Sadly he caught up with me. I was suddenly pushed against the locker. "Hello Avery. " he said. "What do you want Zack." I asked quietly. "You. " he said. "I love you Avery. I always have. Why can't we be together!" He yelled "Because I don't like you and all you do is bully me!!" I screamed. I guess he didn't like that because he kneed me in the stomach and pushed my on the ground. Ow. That hurt. He slapped me in the face as I whimpered. "Just a nerd." He mumbled as he walked away. Luckily my best friend Pierce heard me because next thing I know the holding me while im crying. "Avery. What happened?" He said. "Z-zack. I hate him!!!" I screamed. "He said that he loved me and then pushed me against the locker when I told him that I hate him and all he does is bully me." I said quietly. " You area strong girl. You know that?" He said looking into my blue eyes. I smiled slightly. Just them the bell rang. We both stood up and Pierce carried my on his back to our class.
