Shuffling under the covers of her bed, Yena was fighting the battle to sleep. And losing.
Finally, her thoughts too loud for head, she gave up.

Huffing and puffing, she rolled on to her back. Eyes wide, she tried to make out the wooden ceiling above her. What was usually a deep wood woven together seamlessly in diverse patterns, was now just a blob of darkness. Her eyes moved toward the window just to the left of her bed, not fully closed by the amber curtain that fell on either side of it. Yena could just make out the brightness of a single star among the darkness outside.

She thought for just a second, not too much or she would've come up with reasons to stay where she was.

Quietly pulling the covers back, she slipped out of bed. Hanging up between her bedside table and the window, she grabbed her cloak and put it on. She slipped on her shoes that were left lazily on the floor beside her bed. She picked up her wand from her bedside table and headed out of her dormitory.

She slowly descended the stairs toward the common room. She peered around the corner just in case, although she was almost certain no one would be up at this time.
And she was right.

She carried on, walking out of the fat lady's portrait, who was sound asleep. The thought of waking her up to get back in worried her a little but she quickly decided that would be a later problem and shook the though from her head.

Her mind was set on one place.

The astrology tower.

She was pleasantly surprised to have such an easy trip to the tower this far past curfew. No teachers in sight, no filch, and no peeves. It wasn't like her to do this, she wondered if it was beginners luck.

She had finally made her way up. It was the tallest tower in Hogwarts and out of bounds with the exceptions of classes, so despite no hiccups on the way, it was still a little tiring.

She opened the door and walked in, making sure to close it softly behind her. She began walking toward the middle of the room when she noticed the ceiling was gone and she had an up close view of the night sky.

She was in awe. A day of stars sparkled and shone amongst a sea of black. It was much more than what they saw during class. It was clear and somehow seemed so much closer to her, as if she might touch with a reach of her hand. Rather than a sky full of stars, it was a whole galaxy. A whole universe. She could make out the planets too. Her eyes moved to Saturn and as they did it was like it came closer, and she could make out the floating rocks that surrounded the planet in a ring.

She was so caught up in what was in front of her, she didn't notice a boy sitting on the ground just a few feet ahead of her, staring at her quizzically.

"Hello"

Her head snapped toward the voice that had a slightly cheerful, but curious, tone.

His dark brown hair was slightly ruffled, looking almost like bed hair, it slightly covered the top part of his glasses. Behind his glasses, she could see his eyes sparkling even from this distance and she wondered how that might be possible. One corner of his lips began to rise slowly, showing an almost satisfied look which confused her a little,

"Sorry" she stuttered. She wasn't sure why she apologised but she also wasn't sure what she was supposed to say.

"It's okay." He smiled.

And that's when she finally recognised him. Her eyes shifted down toward the dark blue lining of his cloak.

Kim Taehyung. 6th year Ravenclaw.

If not known for his looks, known for his dreamy disposition and unique way of thinking.

He was a bit of an outcast when he first came to Hogwarts. He was sorted into Ravenclaw and no one could understand why. He was young, shy and impressionable.

He was known to be locked out of his own common room, coming up with completely different answers to the riddles that were allowed entry. He wasn't your typical Ravenclaw, and for that, he wasn't accepted by a lot of members from his house.

She remembered one time in second year she overheard him getting told off by one of the prefects for never being able to get in. Taehyung argued that his answers were right if you looked at it from his point of view and didn't understand how there couldn't be more than one possible answer.

For a while, she only ever saw him alone. Eventually, by third year, he was glued to another Ravenclaw, just one year above him. Kim Namjoon. Apparently he had to watch over him during one detention, and they just hit it off. He enjoyed the way Taehyung's brain worked, it was different to what he was used to. And Taehyung had finally found a friend who accepted him.

4th year is when he began to fill out a bit more. He was suddenly a foot or two taller, his shoulders were broader and he was getting more handsome by the day. She had thought he would make a good chaser, but he didn't seem to be interested in Quidditch much. He had managed to make a couple more friends in other houses, introduced by Namjoon, and even managed to make the two most cunning Slytherins, fall soft for him. It was 5th year when his popularity began to rise. His personality shone when he was with his friends and people noticed. Despite this, he still seemed to keep mainly to his main friend group, although still kind to everyone and anyone.

Although they were in the same year and in some classes together, they have had very minimal interactions. The most has been during class, or acknowledging each other in group settings. Yena generally kept to herself and her small knit group for the most part.

But here they were, finally about to have their first proper interaction.
