Chapter 1: The mission

Rin woke up excitedly, 'we are going on a mission' Rin thought in his mind, he stumbled out of bed and threw his uniform on. He just put on his blazer, when there were a loud knock on the door, "come in" said Rin, the door creaked open and standing there was Surgo... He looked at the younger, with stern eyes. " you are finally up, everyone is waiting for you". "oh crap. I didn't know i was up that late". Surgo laughed "i am only messing with ya". Rin looked at him, 'he was only joking' Rin thought, then he let out a laugh.

They both walked together. But they both didn't dare say anything, they didn't even breathe. They finally entered the cafeteria, a sweet smell hit Rin's nose, he's stomach started growling and Bon looked at him,"get some food would ya, I think we have time". "Fine I will". While, he was eating, Yukio, Sheimi,Konekomaru Izumo and Shima walked in, "hey guys" said Rin, with a mouthful of food in his mouth, Yukio didn't say anything, just glared at the half demon. " we will be setting of, for the mission, in five minutes, so hurry up get food and whatever you need to do".

Izumo and Shima walked away, 'where are they going? this is not like them', Rin thought, when he put his tray away, it was time for the mission, they gathered around Yukio who stood on the table, "alright, everyone quiet down. Ok, there has been a sighting of demons, somewhere close by, our job is to exorcise these demons, we are going to go in groups of about two people. lets see, Kamiki with Shima, Miwa with Moriyama, Okumura with Surgo". There was a slight growl that came from the half demon's throat. " stop complaining would ya" said Bon. Rin gave him a evil glare.

Rin's pov

Why, did Yukio put me with Surgo, he knows that I do not like him. Why couldn't I be put with Izumo or Shiemi or even Konekomaru or Renzo. But no it had to be Surgo, I am going to kill Yukio, what happens if we fight and we get killed, he will be sorry then won't he. Ok calm down maybe it wont be that bad.

Bon' pov

Ok, so we are now going the mission, which I could tell he was excited about, as he's annoying tail was swaying side to side. But now he doesn't want to go, is it because of me? Like I give a shit, he's an obnoxious demon. But I do care about him, so I am going to protect him, well without him knowing.

3 hours later

Rin and Bon walked around in silent in search for the demons, Bon looked over at Rin and said to him, " Ok whats the matter, you were so excited about going on this stupid mission, and now you are quiet" Rin looked over at Bon, he could tell his eyes was full of worry and, now the half demon felt guilty, about growling and complaining about him, but he refuse to show it. "Why do you care, before you ask its not about you, I am sorry to disappoint you". Bon felt a little bit offended about this remark, "ok so what is it about then", " it has nothing to do with you Surgo and if-" but Rin couldn't finish his sentence, he felt even more guilty, why can't he just tell him how he feels about the mission and about him. " Ok, are you not going to finish what you about to say", before Rin could say anything, there was a high pitch scream that came about a mile before them.

Before Surgo could stop him, Rin darted towards where the scream came from, Surgo cursed and ran after Rin, finally Bon catched up to the half demon,
" why did you run away like that you-", he understood why, lying there was Izumo, with streak of blood down her face, " Izumo why are you on the floor". She didn't say anything, she just pointed up, Rin and Bon turned around, standing there were not one, not two but the three demons, they were suppose to get rid of, the demons darted pass the boys, and went straight to Izumo and Renzo, " no you don't, you leave them alone" said Rin. Rin jumped on to the first, demon , he exorcised the demon, then did the same to the second. However, the third demon knew what he was doing, and swung for Rin, he dodged it, but the second time, he got hit and blood was dripping, from his arm and leg, 'how did that just happen?' Rin thought and then collapsed on to the ground, "Okumura!!" yelled Bon, Bon chanted a prayer and the demon was gone. Izumo, stood up and went to help Renzo up, " is he ok" said Shiemi as her and Miwa came running up to them, "does he look ok to you" said Izumo. Bon, took out his phone and called, Yukio " Sensai , Rin got injured, he was helping to kill the demons, he got two, but the third got him and he is in really bad shape."
