just when everything seemed to be getting better for the couple, corbyn's world seemed fall apart before him. he felt as if everything and everyone had been against him, as nothing was going his way.

corbyn had been absolutely content with his and daniel's intimacy just the other night, and he hoped daniel had been as well. except, he wasn't. at least, that's how it seemed to be. because now, corbyn laid alone, wide awake upon his bed as he stared at his ceiling.

this was an all too familiar occurrence. one that made corbyn's heart shatter even more as he flipped through fantasy's of his and daniel's relationships; how he would've liked it to be. but they're just dreams. something that he knew himself was too good to be true.

"goddamnit, daniel. just please call me or something, let me know you're okay. i- i love you." corbyn groaned as he threw his phone onto the bed. he's sent six different voicemails to daniel's phone, awaiting at least one sign that his dearly beloved brunet was doing just fine.

daniel had once again, left late evening and wouldn't be arriving until later; if he ever comes back. corbyn was losing hope. his eyes became glossy, hair now messy, hands jittery, breath shaky, clothes tattered and unwashed. he was ruining corbyn, but he couldn't let himself believe it.

the blond felt he needed to fight for what or who he loved, no matter the circumstances. he'd made a promise to himself to protect anything that has crossed paths with. and he would keep with it.

next morning, corbyn let out a sigh as the bright sun's rays shone through his window, brightening his features. he groaned lowly, pulling a pillow over his face. he had been dreading getting up since he fell asleep just two hours ago.

but he had hope that once he'd walk down the stairs, his lover would be there waiting for him. and so, with that thought in the back of his mind, corbyn began his day, dressing up a bit in nice clothes, ready to go out.

as he ruffled his hair lightly, walking down the stairs, corbyn searches the living room and kitchen with a small smile. it faded away as he realized his house was empty, him being the only living being. he pulled out his phone, sending a quick text. 'if you come home, i'll be out for a bit. stay safe. xx'

corbyn pulled up his hood to cover the back of his neck, shivers running down his spine as he walked the chilled streets. his eyes lit up as the familiar flower shop stand came into view, making his merry way over to the elderly woman.

"ah, corbyn! back once again, my dear?" corbyn nodded with a sweet smile as he handed the woman his card. "here you are! good luck, sweetheart." the woman smiled, a small wave being sent his way. "you too."

finally, corbyn shut the door behind him, the blowing harshly against the door as he shivered. he was sure to have a windburn on his bright red cheeks.

corbyn places his jacket on the rack, taking his shoes off as well before walking into the kitchen. there, daniel stood in front of the counter engrossed in his phone, seemingly waiting for his food in the toaster.

corbyn sighed softly as he sat upon the counter across from the boy. his hands caressed through the flowers as he peered into his lap, silence filling the room as questions swarmed through his head.

"i missed you, you know. you had me worried." corbyn glances up for a brief second, seeing that daniel had been looking back. a small 'oh' was heard from daniel, corbyn's heart beating faster as he attempted to calm himself.

"'oh?' that's all i get for staying up all night waiting for you? why do you do this daniel?" corbyn's voice faltered as brushed a hand through his hair, tears pricking his eyes. "we- we were fine yesterday and suddenly- what's wrong, dani? why are you doing this to me?"

daniel placed his phone down, walking towards corbyn. he placed his hands on the blond's thighs as he looked into his eyes. "i'm sorry, corbyn. i feel terrible, i really do. but- things are just getting hard to deal with, my mind is in a haze, i- i don't know what to do."

tears had been strolling freely down both the boys faces, heavy sadness filling the room. "come to me if you ever feel that way. i can help you, dani. please- don't push me away." corbyn's voice stayed soft as he hopped off the counter, pulling the brunet into a hug.

"i'm sorry, corbyn. i never meant to hurt you." daniel took the flowers into his hands, a small smile tugging at his lips. "i know, love. i know"
