Lucas

*Hailey's P.O.V*

                  I woke up in the middle of the night. Again. I just couldn't stop thinking of Lucas. I mean you would too of you'd see your former dead best friend alive and try to kill you. I got up and looked at my clock. 3a.m. I put on my shoes and in my suitcase i pulled out a little box. Me and Lucas had one as we made it together. He told me as long as we kept each other's most precious items in the box we will forever be together.

                  I got out of the house. And walked down the street with the box in my hands. I knew one place that Lucas would always go. And without fail his weakness will always be for parks. I saw a figure sitting on one of the swings. I approached him and the sound of my footsteps made his head turn. Lucas. In his hands was a box. My tears  pricked out of my eyes as in front of me was my best friend. He took care of me like a brother. Played with me like a friend. Chided me like a mum. And died as a human. But here he is.

                "Lucas," I spoke. "Hey Halis," he said smiling sheepishly standing up. I threw my arms around his neck dn buried my head on the crook of his neck. I breathed in the familiar scent of lavender as he wrapped his arms around me. "I-i missed yo-you so much," i choked out voice breaking. "Me too Hails," i tightened my grip on him never wanting to let go. "But how? I saw yo-..," "Let's not talk about that now, okay?" he cut me off. I nodded slightly.

                "A-hem," i heard someone cough. I pulled away from Lucas and looked behind me. Alex. "So I go to sleep and you sneak out here with your 'boyfriend'," he said emphasising boyfriend. I took a deep breath and explained everything about Lucas till today.
