Date-April 23rd
Location- Snowy Gecko, Peer

For the first time that year, it was storming outside. It seemed like one of the biggest storms Peer had ever seen. The Snowy Gecko mountain always snows when it's supposed to rain. It's been like that for centuries. Never changing. Everlasting. Just as it should be. Underneath the peak sits a house.

Out of the blue, someone hit the door of the house with a heavy bang. The door opened. "Rusty, you need to stop sending me to do these errands when bad weather is gonna hit." He said as he walked into the house. Jackson Frazier, or known as Jinx, lived in this house along with 4 others. Rusty Zeroburg, Stormy Saturday, Sam Onu, and Remsi Ken. Jinx was usually the odd one out, with him being the only guy, but he still likes living there.

"Sorry, you know I don't have control of the weather," Rusty said with a rather sarcastic tone. "Well, at least we have milk now" Jinx said as he put it inside the fridge. "Oh, just remembered that Zero is coming over to tell us something. Don't know why he can't just call us but alright." Remsi reminded everyone. Zero was the owner of the house. He let them stay there for free. He built it with his wife, Deana. She died a few weeks after they got married and finished building it. He couldn't bare to live in it but didn't want to get rid of it, so he let them stay in the house.

"That's vague. Jinx commented. "Who knows with that guy. He only said he was coming over to talk, which is kind of nerve-wracking." Remsi explained. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" Stormy said as she rushed to the door. Zero, with his unusual green umbrella, was standing in the doorway. "Hi, Stormy." He said with a cheerful smile. "Hi Dr. Z!" She said happily as she opened the door completely for him to enter. Zero walked in and closed his umbrella. Everyone was gathered at the couch, intrigued to hear what he had to say. He sat on a couch chair that stood directly in front of them. "So, tomorrow, you'll all be going to Edelsteen." Everybody's face lit up, except for Jinx. He had some history with Edelsteen his roommates weren't aware of.

"It's going to be a small break day type thing," Zero added. "Aren't train tickets about $35 each? We don't have the money for that." Rusty asked. "Does that mean we can take your car?" Stormy said win excitement. "No no, I'd be an idiot to trust you guys with my car. Don't worry though, I paid for your tickets." He said, reassuring her. "W-Why would we want to go to Edelsteen? There's nothing interesting in Edelsteen. Please, don't make me go." Jinx said, panicking. "Jinx, it's going to be okay, trust me." Zero knew the reason why he had known Jinx for much longer than the others. Jinx sank into the couch, trying to avoid conversation with the others. "So why don't you want to go to Edelsteen?" Sam asked him with a stern and curious look. "I- um- n-no reason." Jinx stuttered. "Right, I mean, I don't blame you, the people there scare me. They're so eerily happy, especially that king. I don't know how he manages an entire kingdom by giving out flowers to every person he spots." She laughs. "E-Eh- oh- r-right." Jinx looked down, thinking of the possible outcomes of the next day. "I'll see you guys when you get back. Train leaves at 7:30 Tomorrow morning." Zero said as he went to the door and opened his umbrella. "I'd be happy to hear about all of your experiences." He said with a smile as he opened the door and left.

Later that night, Jinx was wide awake thinking of what would happen. "What if I see him? What's he going to think of me? What if she's there..?" Jinx mumbled to himself. These thoughts kept him awake for a long dreadful hour until he finally fell asleep.

It was finally the morning they would head to Edelsteen for the day. Jinx was still fast asleep. That quickly ended as Stormy pounded on his door to wake him up. "JINX WE HAVE TO GO, THE TRAIN LEAVES IN 20 MINUTES!" Stormy yelled to him. "I-I'M COMING." Jinx yelled back as he was just getting out of bed. He quickly went to his dresser, styled his hair a bit, and put on his collar. Jinx left his room but was immediately grabbed by his hand and dragged outside by Stormy. "S-Stormy calm down- it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the train station." Jinx tried to tell her. "Well you walk slow and I wanted us to get a head start." Stormy said while still pulling on his hand. "I could just stay? It would save lots of time and I'm just a burden and you would want that on your big day to Edelsteen, right?" He said trying to convince them to let him stay. "No, you're coming, mainly because we want to figure out your problem with Edelsteen." Rusty told him. Jinx sighed and continued walking.
