i recommend listening to soft songs during this. sets the mood a lil. enjoy.
she laid alone. she knew it would be over soon. she wished it wouldn't. she wished to preserve the innocence she had left. it was difficult in such a scary world. she tried her best. it wasn't working very well anymore.
she would lay underneath a apple tree, watching the pink sky as the sun laid upon the horizon, the only way she could preserve what she loved. the dreaminess of the world.
she loved to tell stories. it was her favorite. most of them were dreams, stories she made in her imagination. some she'd experience before the innocence of the world was swept away. when she dreamt of princesses being taken away by knights in gleaming armour. that world doesn't exist for her anymore. she wished it did.
the pink and orange hues of the sky seemed to glow on her features, masking all of her troubles for the time being. it seemed as if nothing mattered in that moment except for her.
her beautiful freckles seemed to glow in the atmosphere, making her features far more enhanced than normal. her golden skin glistened in the light, as her beautiful ocean eyes seemed to throughly enjoy the view. for the moment, she was at peace.
her worries vanished as soon as the lady walked over. her beautiful brunette hair, her curvy yet beautiful figure, she seemed to bounce with every step. the one they call caroline glanced with careful eyes towards the lady.
the lady sat down next to her, both seemingly glowing in the light.
"carol."
"sofi."
they shared a look, before laying down together underneath the apple tree. their eyes shined with newfound happiness watching the sunset together. they enjoyed the moment while it lasted.
they had little time. caroline knew that. she knew that she had to leave soon. she simply didn't want to. she liked it right there, in her friends arms.
it was almost time to go.
the sun had started turning purple, the pink and orange mixed in beautiful highlights.
the sun was setting.
she didn't want it to.
but she knew she had to leave.
she gave her friend a smile, before walking into the sunset like straight out of a fairytale. she knew that she had to leave.
the next morning it was found by brianna waterson, her daughter caroline waterson peacefully passed in her sleep from a brain tumor.
sofia's last memory of her friend was her passing to the afterlife, just how she'd expect her to. the best story to tell.
