The First Order troop transport shuttles formed clouds of sand on the surface as they came in for a sharp landing. The ramps came down as two search lights turned on above them. Stormtroopers began speeding towards the helpless village, blasters at the ready.
Abigail burst through the hut door, "there here!! The First Order are here - they've come for us. I knew it. It was only a matter of time" she said, out of breathe. "They are only here because they have no other leads. We both know we haven't had any contact with Resistance forces" replied Hunter, her husband. He hurried towards a small table in the corner of the minature room, grabbing a DL-18 blaster pistol. "Hunter. Don't you even dare think about going out there with a stupid pistol, have you not seen the weapons the First Order have? You aren't going to do much with a weapon that small" she said, looking worried. "Abi, I honestly couldn't care less about that. I want to atleast do something for this village - that is why i'm in charge. I can't run and watch this place burn to the ground."
Abigail looked Hunter in the eyes. She could tell he wasn't messing around. "Well what do you expect me to do, I can't just sit around and hope you come back." He loaded his blaster. "That's why you will take my shuttle outback and get the hell off world. Go see my uncle or something on Jakku or my mother on Lothal? Take Seth with you. I can trust you'll keep our son safe." Abigail looked at Hunter with a confused expression as screams could be heard in the background. "You really want to do this don't you? How do you expect me to look after our 9 month old baby by myself?" she questioned, clueless. "I'm sure you'll figure something out. In fact, I know you will. Trust me. It's why I married you." He briskly paced over to Abi and gave her a warming hug, as she shed a tear on his shoulder. He then pecked his lips on her forehead and slowly walked towards the door. "I love you ya know", "I know, I love you too." With that he walked into his unknown future.
Abigail began to gather the necessary resources as she wiped away the tears left upon her face. Once she had the supplies in a beige fabric rucksack she walked into a room at the back of the house. Explosions shook the house as her nerves built up. She leant over into a cot and picked up a small child. "Everything is going to work out just fine Seth. We will get our happy ending eventually - when we stop running" she said to h as she began to cry again. Then, she rapidly ran out the back door into the chaos that was outside. The shuttle was in sight and she kept running and running. Then the sudden sound of the whirling Tie Fighter engine flew over her and a ball of fire ignited in her face, forcing he backwards. The ship was now burning. But everything for Abi went black.
Hunter walked through the dense smoke. He looked every which way to see nothing but death and decay. Then there was a fresh gust of wind that blew the sand in his direction. Once it had settled he saw a bright light, getting larger and larger. It was a shuttle. Two large wings either side. It landed in front of him. As the ramp lowered he saw a figure dressed in black and two stormtroopers walk down and off the ramp until they were only just a metre away from him. "Well if it isn't Kylo Ren" said Hunter raising his blaster to point directly at Kylo. "Lower your weapon" he commanded in a deep and menacing tone. "No. We have done nothing wrong. The First Order have no reason to be at my doorstep" replied Hunter. "Tell that to the First Order intelligence. They've reported members of your village housing Resistance fugitives that escaped from our facility. They hold information on Project Rebirth. I don't expect you to know what that is but would you not do the same. It was a vital manoeuvre." Hunter looked at him with anger and outrage. "My people have done nothing wrong. It is you who is in the wrong here...." he said, as he rapidly fired multiple shots towards Ren.
Then with the simplist raise of his hand everything around them froze, along with the laser shots. Seconds passed and Kylo put his hand into a fist as everything unfroze and the blasts continued - towards Hunter..... He then found himself on the floor in pain as he slowly closed his eyes. "You'll..... Aghh..... You'll" he said, struggling to find the breathe to speak. "You'll never.... Win this war" he finished as his eyes closed, never to open again.

Abigail slowly struggled in opening her eyes. As they opened, she could see a blur of people. Her vision slowly cleared - whilst still in agony. Then looking around she noticed that he wasn't there. Seth was gone. "No!!! Seth!!" she yelled as she turned to the figures in front of her. "Aghh!" she cried in excruciating pain. "What have you done to him?" she questioned. "Oh he's safe - for now anyway" replied Ren in a darkening tone. "Don't you dare do anything to him, please I beg, don't hurt him" she warned. "I don't count on it. There is something special about that boy that you are clueless about. He is special. You know what to do with her Admiral" said Kylo peering behind him. A figure in a grey uniform emerged from behind them, "I do indeed my Lord" he answered. As the remaining soldiers dragged her away, Kylo Ren turned and walked aboard his shuttle. As the ramp closed behind him, the shuttle took flight to leave the village in nothing but ashes.
He walked over to the seats on the lower deck of his shuttle. He knelt down and placed his hand on the back of the small boy.
"Welcome to the First Order, my apprentice......"
