Chapter 3
We pull into the carnival lot. It's packed with small children, young couples, and such. Niall and I get out of my car and walk for a while. Our security would surround me and Niall by now, but we're on a break. Some eyes our pointed towards us but no one seems to bother us.
"What do you want to do, Nialler?" I ask. He's been feeling depressed all day. I just want to cheer him up.
"Go home.." He muttered. Obviously, what I was doing wasn't helping. I sigh and put my hands in my jacket pocket. Even though it's the beginning of Fall, it's still chilly. We walk along, passing many rides and games. Something catches my eye and I immediatly brighten up.
"Cotton Candy!" I chirp, making my way towards it. Niall beamed and followed me. The pink fluffy cloud-like creation melted over my tounge making me smile wide. I haven't had cotton candy in a while. Niall was devouring his, licking his sticky fingers when finished.
"So Niall." I start, taking small bits of my cotton candy. "Our visit at this carnival is going to be everywhere, and Harry and Liam are likely to see..."
"Oh yeah!" Niall says. He seems to be a bit more happier. "Let's act like a couple then!" He takes my hand, entwining his fingers with mine. I smiled sotly at the sudden warmth that was brought to my hand.
"So, are you better to go on a few rides?" I ask slowly. He nods quickly with a wide grin. I smile and we begin to walk towards the line-up at a ferris-wheel.
Liam's POV
Harry tugs me into the carnival wearing a clumsy smile.
"C'mon Liam!" He yells. "We're already here, you can't give up now."
"No, this is a horrible idea. It's the worst idea you've ever had." I spit, pulling myself back towards the car.
"C'mon it'll be fuuuun!" He chimes. I roll my eyes and stop struggling. He grins cheerifully as he pulls me into the carnival. The sun is going down, giving the sky a crispy orange-lit glow. I look around for Niall and Louis.
"There they are!" Harry whispers. He points at them, waiting in a line for the ferris wheel. Their hands are holding one anothers giving me a sudden stab in the heart.
"Harry, I don't think we should be doing this." I looked towards him. His eyes were full of sadness as he carefully eyed both of them. I pat him on the back before walking back towards the car. Before I could get there, he grasps my hand and pulls again.
"Wait, we can't just leave now." He says. I shake my head and sigh. The things I do...
"Okay, let's get in line." I say. His eyes widen.
"Nuh uh. We're going to get caught!" He whines.
"We can get closer though!" I strike back. He bites his lip, thinking about my plan.
