I woke to the sound of the birds, it was a nice mellow chirp on the cold autumn morning. I breathed gently as the sound of radio two burst out my radio, Chris Evens a voice I hated waking to but as I still don't understand my radio, I'll never bother or know how to change it. Stretching I filled out my bed, the cool air smacked my flesh sending the temperature plunging. I did what most people did in a morning, showered, dressed, breakfast and got my school bag. Leaving the house I was quickly followed by my mother in her car and brother in front seat. I hated that car, it was small and I had to crush myself into it. The blond haired family sped off from me as I walked out briskly towards the end of my street this week felt like it was going to be good, oh how wrong could I be. I walked out onto the main road, jumping onto the bus packed like a sardine can it rolled into gears. The sound of other people chatting, listening to music and just being generally a public thorn filled the bus as I pulled my face like putty as it slapped back in face I mumbled,
"Things can only get better."
Half an hour of ear aching torture later we pulled outside the school, the flood of children barged around me as I calmly walked off. It was a sea of purple blazers as I made it to the pupil entrance, the automatic doors flung open as the sheep charged for lessons. The familiar faces of my close friends came into view. The tallest was a boy called Luke; gentle, smart, generous and friendly he easily wormed his way into people shame about his size and stupid long hair which was longer then most girl hair. The next was David; another gentle, caring person who people also took the fancie to but his Canbridge back ground meant he was sometimes stuck up and pompous. My brother was already there, his military cut blond hair, he was annoying but one of the smartest people you would ever meet.
"George!" They shouted as I walked over, pulling my tie up on the orders of a glaring teacher I walked over.
"Hey guys, where's James?"
