Lili dropped har phone and ran up to Coles room holding back tears she opened the door and just one look at Coles face sent her into a hysterical, sobbing state.
Lili sank to the bed and pulled her knees to her chest. She began to try and speak through the tears put Cole quietly shushed her. "it's ok" he said, "just calm down then we will talk, for now, keep taking nice deep breaths" soothing and quietly he rubbed circles down Lili's back.
She had calmed and Cole began "look..."
"stop" Lili interrupted, although her words sounded angry there was a tone o f sadness over powering her voice, "look Cole I shouldn't have said anything" she quickened, " and I know being drunk isn't an excuse but I I..." she trailed off, missing a beat.
Cole opened his mouth to interject but...
"andandiwantedtokeepitasecretbutbutikindofthinkmaybeitsgoodthatwetoldthembecausenowwedonthavetohideit. theyallknewanyway. pleasepleasedontbemadcole." she had to stop to breathe.
Cole took this as his chance and began to speak immediately "Lili I'm not mad, I was more surprised than anything else" "so long as you're okay with it I am too.
Lili pushed her lips to meet Coles and felt the regular electricity of happiness it sent through her skin. She raised her hands to his face and after a minute they pulled away, touching her forehead to Coles, Lili whispered, "I love you Cole, thank you for not being mad"
"you're welcome "he teased as he left the room and Lili stood there her face resembling one of a person who had been randomly slapped in the face by a stranger. He was almost at the kitchen when he shouted back, "I love you too."
