"Y-you killed h-her..." George stutters. Sirens are approaching in the background. The sound makes me want to run but my feet stay glued to that spot on the floor. In front of me lies Dakota, my love, my everything, now she was nothing, only a body with no pulse on the ground. I killed her. The thought keeps repeating in my head.

"I can't stay here." George says scurrying towards the exit. I stare at her body, once warm and filled with joy, lays lifeless and broken. Her long brown hair spread everywhere, dark red pools around her.

"Get down on the ground now!" The police shouts.

"Hands behind your back." I don't want to move, I just want her back. The only true joy in my life. The cops grab me and push me to the ground. I don't fight, I simply go limp. This wasn't supposed to happen.

"Oliver." She calls my name. The last time I would ever hear her. The sound goes on loop in my head as I sit in the police van getting dragged down to the jail. The guards watch me carefully as I sit and wait for what happens
next. What did I do?
