On the island of Samoa stalks an orange tiger with her fur standing on end and the black stripes sticking out as
if they were painted on. Surrounded by tropical plant life and animals the she tiger is horrified by the sights and sound of mans guns. She shivers as she hides between the ferns and tall weeds. She watches a snake slithering on a branch of a coconut tree. The tiger's yellow eyes are very wide, her teeth are
showing as into a frown; her ears are back and she is arched back as if she is backing away from something.
She realizes that straight ahead is a bear trap and, as she crouches backwards, she ends up in some poison oak. She is really itchy now but is too afraid to move though the hunters will spot her.
There is movement in the grass; she is thankful when a rabbit hops away. She watches one hunter heading for the trap. The tiger can't hold it any longer, she starts to itch, and the hunter spots her. He yells to the others: "I have found the tiger."
At this moment the tiger pounces upon the hunter, his gun goes off and kills a kookaburra then the tiger claws up the hunter, grabs the dead bird for herself and runs off to her cubs.
