Cat-astrophe

I sat at my school desk with my head resting on my arms, I started out the window at the sunset, it was just as I remembered it the day before and before that to, it never changes. I heard the bell which, made me jump out my seat I rested my hands on the desk I looked around there was only me, Jordan, James, Danny and Jason at our desks still. James and Jason were at the back texting, Danny was at the front next to the door writing it what looked like his english exercise book and for Jordan he was in my row just two seats away looking down a book on his lap looked like moonlight nightmare from the moon on the cover. We were waiting for our teacher Mr. Tompson, we had a detension but I decided to leave soon anyway I wasnt going to stay here with these especially Jason. "Hey, have you heard of the cat woman sightings?" I heard James whisper to Jason, "yeah I know its kinda creepy, aliens invading earth, what they gonna do suck out our brains" Jason said a little louder, I turned around to them "dont be stupid aliens arnt real" Jason turned to me "and how would you know shrimp" he snorted, "actually no they are arnt they im looking at one" he glared at me before getting out his seat knocking it over as he did so. As soon as he was a metre from me "I wouldnt do that if I were you" Jordan said, looking up from his book to us, Jordan looked at me and sighed "little bro, come here" he pulled me into a head lock and ruffed my hair, I couldnt help but laugh but then my sences came to me I pushed him away he looked shocked but walked back over to his desk. We are went back to being silent just listeing to the clicks of the clock ticking and echoing around the door, Danny's pen dancing across his page it was his sixth page for sure and the sound of Jason and James texting. The bell went off again this time signalling the school would be closing soon so we should go unless we wanted to be locked in over night. Danny was the first to jump up and rush out slamming the door behide him, "soz" Jason shouted then James and him laughed, Jordan was second I followed close behide I didnt hear James or Jason come out next but I wasnt bothered as long as I was far away from them as possible I couldnt care less if he'd been eaten by these so called aliens or kidnapped. As soon as I got to the bottom floor and out the exit it started to rain the sunset was gone now and it looked more like midnight than four o' clock, I took my black hoodie from my backpack and put it on with my hood up, I was getting a few stares from people passing by mostly elders. "Hey Jake!" I heard my brother shout, I turned him, James, Sam, Jaycee an Jack were up the bank, they started running until they were surrounding me. "What to you want?" I snapped, "aw doesnt my little brother want his big bro for protection" he laughed, "I aint five years old anymore Jay" I moaned. "You sure act like it" laughted James, Jason punched his arm "hey only I take the mick, got that" James rubbed his arm and nodded, I walked off hoping he wouldnt see but cause of the such good luck I have he did and ran after me just him though his other mates went the other way. "You know I love you little bro" he said stopping me, I turned to him "funny" I pulled a blank expression and kept walking he let go of me then, I heard a car horn I looked and I car was heading for me I put up my hands for protection as if that would help. I looked at Jason as he shouted my name and ran for me everything seemed to go in slow motion "no Jason stay there!" I screamed as the car was just a metre from me then...

I opened my eyes slowly sitting up, "Jay" I looked around I was in a alley with my back against the wall, "Jason" I shouted a little louder, I winced at the pain as I tried to get up I looked at my side I had little brusing. The bins beside me started shaking before falling over making the lids fall of and the trash inside them come out, then I saw what looked like a hand I reached out for it, touching it ever so gently then it squeezed my hand until it turned purple. I screamed, my screams echoed down the alley then I heard a meow from inside the bin I froze, it couldnt be could it, the cat woman like my brother and his mate said, its been all over the news, newpapers, facebook and bbm. I felt my expression turn into shock it isnt true it cant be aliens they arnt real there nothing more than fiction, something that you read about in comics but not real they cant be. The hand of the person or create as it may be let go as soon as my screams came to a hault apart from the quiet echoes I could still hear in the distance, I got on all fours letting go of the hand and forgetting the agonizing pain in my side that soon shot up my spine. I crawled in front of the bin only to uncover a girl with only her underwear and bra on an with what looked like it black cat ears on her head an a matching tail poking out from behide her. She looked up at me confused, she sat up and looked around like what I did when I woke up here, she looked at me and leaned in close and purred "who are you?" I ask, kinda scared, I reach out for her and she backs away I stop with my hand still in the air "dont worry im not going to hurt you" I reasure, "im the last person you should be scared of" I look up at the night sky as a rain drop falls on my cheek and rolls down my face slashing onto the ground, not long after that more rain drops came down soaking us. I stood up holding onto the wall and so did she, her hair was dark brown that went just below her shoulders she had a side fringe she turned to me and smilied I couldnt help but notice her sparkling eyes, they were as blue as the river and the rivers in moutain springs, I learned about there today in geography. "Moutain springs" I said, looking at her, she looked confused for a while before turning around and putting to a clearing in the distance where these waters are supposesly placed. "Do you speak?" I asked, she tilted her head "meow" she said, I shook my head "human, do you speak human?" I asked, she shook her head. I couldnt believe what I was thinking but maybe James was right these alien like creatures are real and maybe we are being invaded by them, are they trying to take over earth? im going have to investergate a little more into the matter. I started walking down the alley, she followed close behide like a lost puppy, when I got to the end I peeked around the corner to see if anyone was there, I knew if anyone saw her it would be problem not just for her. "We are going to jump over this wall ok" I pointed up, she looked and did just as I said and sat there until I was up to, I looked into the kitchen it looked like nobody was in so I jumped over into my garden and she did the same to. I opened the patio doors, letting us both in I locked the doors behide me when I turned around she was gone, "kitty" I shouted, I ran into the kitchen, wasnt there, I ran into the livigroom, not there either, I ran down the hall, still no sign, I went into the first room which was the libary, I saw her looking at the books and running her finger across the selves then, she picked a book, one of my favourites midnight rose, she looked at the first page then went to sit down with it on the brown sofa in the corner. I shut the door carefully not to disturbe her, I picked a book as well called the road to no where, I sat next to her she didnt budge or tell me to move so I stayed there, well we stayed there reading until I heard the door slam. It was my father he was home from work "Jake, where are you?!" he shouted, he sounded angry, "stay here" I whispered, I walked out the room closing the door behide me when he saw me he ran to me holding out his arms his face was as red as a tomato his eyes matched his face like he'd been crying. He grabbed me by my shoulders "oi you little brat, why didnt you answer me when I called" he yelled, spitting in my face. He'd been drinking I could tell I could smell that and the perfume from another woman, mum certainly wouldnt be pleased if she was here, "im sorry dad" I answered quickly, "you better be" he slapped my right cheek, I holded it I felt my eyes flood with tears but I didnt want to cry, I couldnt not in front of my dad he always said crying is for the weak and I know i'd be punished if I did. Then, I heard the libary door open I turned to the cat woman standing there in white shorts and a white shirt with the words meow writtin across it in glitter, her ears were still there just not her tail. She looked at my father confused "whos this?" my father asked sweetly, he placed out his hand she took it and shook hands with my dad "im Jakes friend from school" she replies, she voice like an angel, wait she spoke..I stood there speechless "you spoke" I said, my father looked at me "dont be stupid of course she did, shes human isnt she" he laughed. He lead her into the kitchen and I following close behide to make sure he didnt do anything to her, we all sat at the kitchen table me next to the cat woman and father opposite us. "Whats your name?" dad asked, "Sky" she replied smiling, "what are you studying at school?" "science, english, maths, design and cooking" she quickly replied, "how do you know my son?" she looked at me then back at my father, I went to speak but she said "well we met today, he was helping me with my science work hes quite good at science I must admit then, he asked me if I wanted to go out, so here I am" she smilied looking at me. He stood up, I thought he was going to shout and kick her out but he didnt he smiled and said "well me and my family welcome you with open arms my child, you are welcome here anytime, my son is very lucky to have someone like you" he nudged her with his elbow and laughted "but you could of done a little better" she laughed to but I could tell it was fake I stood up beside her "we are gonna go upstairs now" I said, dragging her with me.

We werent in my room long until I heard the door slam again, its mum I thought another bad day I wonder what this time "Jake!" she shouted, my eyes winded I looked at Sky "stay here" I instructed, she nodded I locked the door just in case I didnt want her to see what was about to happen if it was serious anyway. Mum was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with Jason he was standing behide her with his head hung low, "what is it mother?" I asked sweetly, "hello sweetie" she greeted, "I want you to help Jason with a project, some sort of homework I think" I nodded, Jason walked up to me as he passed me I nugded me mum smiled at me and shouted "thanks hunnie" I followed Jason making sure I got there first to unlock the door. We both walked in, Sky was sitting on the bed reading again but this time the news paper, on the cover was the aliens. She looked up at us when we walked in "oo whos this your lady friend" Jason teased, "shut it" I blushed, "oh your blushing, Jakes finally got a girlfriend" I tried pushing him out my room but he was much strongier and pushed me over in front of Sky. I looked back at her she looked confused "girlfriend?" she tilted her head "im Jakes girlfriend" she smilied, Jason started laughing and walked out slamming the door, I looked at Sky and sighed "do you know what a girlfriend is?" I asked, looking up at her as im still on the floor, she nodded "yeah, they are a type of human, they are a special race and there are boyfriends to they are opposite the girlfriends and they battle out for the winner" I sighed and nodded "yeah thats right" Sky smiled and pointed at a picture of one of the aliens, she had long blonde hair just a little longer than Skys, black ears and tail and a frindge. "Whos she?" I asked, "Miss. Kuroneko" she replied she seemed to go in a daze with the picture, "is she your mum?" Sky shook her head "my sister" she smiled, minutes past until I heard someone coming upstairs I could tell that it was mum. She came in and looked at us both I was leaning back with my back against the wall, Sky had her head on my knee looking up at me and smiling "its getting late, come with me Sky" she said, Sky jumped up and followed my mum out the room, I sat up wondering what mum was going to do with her. Jason came in the doorway "wheres your girlfriend?" he laughed, "she isnt my girlfriend" I snapped "shes just a mate" I looked down hoping he woulded see me blushing again I felt my face getting hotter an hotter. "Well whatever" he chucked the news paper at me "whats this?" I said, "look at the first page, its about them aliens" he smirked "now tell me if you believe there real" I turned the page, there was a whole two pages about them, pictures and more information and where they have been sighted and where they possible came from. I srugged "somes making all this up" I lied, I knew they were real I just couldnt tell my brother, he'd sell her of to the highest bider and knowing our luck he'd treat her horrible at least if she stays here she'll be ok as long as the secret is kept. I looked up and Jason was gone, then Sky came in with long pink trousers and a white top saying the words sexy kitten in glitter. I was gob smacked she looked stunning, I wasnt falling for her this is just a plan to find out about these aliens, mum came in behide her "what do you think?" she asked, "its alright" I said, acting like I wasnt interested, "dont listen to him ducky your beautiful hunnie" she patted Sky on she back before leaving. Sky jumped on the bed next to me then I noticed it said baby girl on she arse, she put her head on my lap and looked up at me kicking her legs. "Why dont you go to sleep, we have a lot to do tomorrow" she nodded and yawed making me yawn to, I took a pillow and lay on the floor and let her sleep in the bed, she fell asleep before me anyway and I didnt want to wake her, she was a sleeping angel.
