"It's going to be really hard to get any shot, weather to tie or win. They pass it to halfcourt, Martin Wilonski gets it, he shoots... HE SCORES. MARTIN WILONSKI FOR THE GAME WINNING HALFCOURT SHOT!!!!!!!!"
At least, that's what Martin would've heard, if he weren't swallowed up by the cheers and players swarm. Martin just sent Buffalo High school to the first state game in program history. He had a game high of 38. As a freshman, he has the 75% three-point average, a 95% free- throw average, and a record number of points in a single season.
After the swarm had dispersed, and things had calmed down, a man came up to Martin.
"Hello," said the man. "I'm from. Virginia, and I'm looking for some kids with good talent. You fit that bill all over."
As Martin was about to respond, someone else said, "Or would you rather go to Kansas?"
And yet another, "What about Ganzaga?"
"Don't forget North Carolina."
As the college scouts began to argue, trying to get Martin to go to their college, Martin said, "I'm only a freshman."
They all stopped stunned. They all thought he was lying to get out of the conversation. Then his parents showed up.
"Excuse me Mr. and Mrs. Wilonski," asked the scout from North Carolina, "What grade is your son?"
"He is a freshman," was his dad's response. And with that, they walked away to go home.
