I woke up with a pounding headache. I couldn't move for at least ten minutes, so I laid there groaning. I managed to elevate myself into a sitting position, my vision still fuzzy. It took me a while to settle into my surrounding again, realising it was my own house.

I remember getting home last night, but I must have fallen asleep before getting into my night wear because I was still wearing the outfit I wore last night.

Memories began flooding back about last night, before a sharp pain shot through my head. Ugh, it felt like I had lost my virginity all over again. My head pounded and I forced myself out of bed, I needed an aspirin.

My head pounded the whole way down my staircase. I really didn't want to go to school, but I had an important exam today and if I missed it, I can guarantee I would be grounded for a while.

I took an aspirin, before making my way up the stairs. I grabbed my school uniform, which was laid on the end of my bed, and made my way into my bathroom.

The rest of the morning was kind of a blur, I grabbed some spare change off the table and a bottle of water, before asking our maid to drive me. I knew I wasn't up for driving today, so she offered to drive me home as well.

By the time I got to school, my head started clearing up. I found Rani with some newish chick, Sarah, I think thats what her name was. Sarah was average, though I wouldn't choose to be friends with her.

She was the kind of girl who most nerds would hang around, with her glasses and high socks. Those things are so last century. Hasn't she heard of heels, or eye contacts, sheesh.

Before I could reach Rani, my phone began buzzing in my dress pocket. I pulled it out and checked the number. Unknown. I frowned before shoving it back in my bag, I hate those unknown creeps.

Rani looked away from Sarah as soon as I came over, good choice. Im pretty sure it would be best if she wasn't seen hanging around with some loser like Sarah.

I fixed up my dress before greeting her. "Hey" my voice sounded croaky, and Rani frowned. I cleared my throat and groaned, this day was going to be terrible. She rolled her eyes and handed me some mascara.

While I applied some fresh mascara in the bathrooms, she started up a conversation. "So, what did the note in your pocket say" for a second I couldn't hold a grip on what note she was referring to, but after a moment I remembered when Luke slipped a note in my pocket.

"Shit," was all I could say "I forgot, last night I basically passed out when I got home." I shrugged, finishing up with Rani's mascara. When I handed back to her, her eyebrows were making her act surprised.

I frowned "What?" for a second I thought she was mad at me or something, but then she spoke. "Why the hell did you just shrug off a note from LUKE FUCKING HEMMINGS" she shook her head, she was almost screaming at me "DAKOTA ROSE WILLIAMS, DO YOU HEAR ME?" Damn she was embarrassing.

After Rani's little up roar, we left the toilets and went to meet up with Georgia, Minnie and Lucy. They all asked me the same question as Rani and I had to explain my whole night after I got home from the concert to them. I also had to promise to check the note when I got home tonight.

First class was Maths and I had an exam. Although, I may be the top shit in the popularity ranking, Im also pretty high in the IQ ranking as well.

I wasn't in a Maths class with any of my closest girl friends, there were a few girls who I rarely hung around, but I found it more comforting to hang around the boys. They were really nice to me, I had my charms with them.

The bell rung, and I made my way to class with Elliot and two of his friends. Elliot is kind of like me in the popularity rankings, I think thats why we dated for so long, it was just easy.

He had class with his two mates, Jamie and Erick. Erick is the basketball star of the majority of the year levels, he is a gun at most sports and thats probably the only reason why he earns his place in the rankings because his face is a major let down.

Jamie on the other hand, is hella cute. He is one of those cute nerds. He doesn't have glasses or braces or whatever the normal nerd has. He dresses like a cool kid, but has the brains as well.

We found a seat next to each other, I sat in between Jamie and Elliot. Erick sat on the end of the table next to Elliot, so saying that, I sat next to Jamie. It was a good idea to sit next to Jamie, one, I'd get more brains and two, flirting opportunity.

The exam finished after what felt like years. I was pleased with my results, getting half of them off Jamie. Elliot kind of struggled but used me to help him as well, so our whole table just helped one another.

The rest of the day went by with ease, so did the next two days. It came to Thursday, and I got a phone call from my mother. She wanted me to come and say goodbye to her. I didnt understand what she was talking about, but she didn't answer questions.

I had to get on my plane Friday morning. I didn't understand the rush. I hardly got time to tell Rani where I was going before I found myself on a plane.

I found my seat on the plane, next to a guy who was from America. We had a good discussion about America, he reminded me about the weather as well. That made me realise that I was wearing a pair of high waist shorts and a loose singlet.

I excused myself and went to the bathroom to change into a pair of jeans. As I was about to leave the bathroom, I realised that the shorts I was wearing had the note in them.

I searched through the pockets, thankfully finding the note in the back pocket. Taking a deep breath, I carefully unfolded the note that had been given to me by Luke.

If you've received this note, you're the one that I can't go passed

Keep this to yourself, its my number. **********

~Luke xx

I shook my head, refusing to believe it was really his number. I can't be the right girl, he must have mistaken me for another girl. I frowned at the paper, walking back to my plane seat.

As I sat, the guy next to me chuckled. "Something confusing you?" he raised an eyebrow and nodded at the paper in my hand. I shook my head, almost too fast. He smiled and shrugged.

The whole way to America I didn't sleep. I pulled out my phone and punched in the numbers written on the paper. It took me a few hours to hit the send button, and send him a message.

Dakota- Hi, you gave me my number at your latest concert. Why?

I waited for a few more hours, but before he could reply, the plane landed. I grabbed my luggage and stopped for a coffee.

While I sat in the small shop, I couldn't help search where he would be this week. I scrolled through a few of the fake sight seeings, then I finally found his twitter page. I shook my head, I must have looked like a retard. He was in America.

My phone showed a notification. I tapped it, opening the new content.

Luke- Oh hi, I thought you would never text. I gave you my number because I want to get to know you, you seem cool.

I laughed, so he does this to every interesting girl. Way to make me feel special.

Dakota- So you only want to get to know me?

He must have been waiting for my reply, because he texted back rather fast.

Luke- Yes, and when Im back from America, we should catch up

It was true, he really was in America. Should I tell him or wait. I bit my lip, two options tossing in my head.

Dakota- Im actually in America, visiting my mother

This could be the worst or best decision of my life. I grabbed my coffee and shoved my phone in my handbag. I had to catch the Eastern California bus, so I had ten minute to spare.

I waited in a nearby shop, at one of the tables. It was fairly fancy and contained a lot of nice food, but i chose not to give in to the temptation. My phone buzzed again.

Luke- We should catch up. Next Tuesday Im free, where you staying.

This was perfect, and Tuesday was my last day. I gave him my details and we were going to meet up on Tuesday. Holy crap, Im meeting up with LUKE FREEKING HEMMINGS. OH MY FUCKING GOD.
