Romer, the organization's inventor, led the trio into the same room Kyle was interviewed in, but this time they had to be handcuffed to the chairs. "Please wait here until the boss arrives." He said before leaving and shutting the door behind him. The chairs were bolted to the floor, the handcuffs were made of real silver, the trio couldn't escape with just their bare hands. They waited patiently, as they had no other option. The door swung open and inside came Weliston, he sat down in front of them.
"Listen, I've interviewed your other friend for a job, if you guys resist like him, we're just gonna hypnotize you with modified laughing gas and force you to do our bidding anyway." He said in such confidence.
"So, make a choice, work for us or we'll torture and hypnotize you, then you'll work for us." Weliston continued.
"Working for you is torture already! Look what you did to my friend who you mind-controlled!" Arkin protested
"Arkin, please, let's take the job so we can at least be in control of ourselves." Justin said while coughing along every three words.
"Fine, you monster, we'll do what you want." Arkin grudgingly gave in.
"Don't I get a word in this?" John asked
"No, we're getting the job." Arkin sadly replied. There was no other option, but Arkin knew that if they were gonna be hypnotized they wouldn't be able to make an escape plan.
"Oh, and don't even think about trying to escape, we lost too many escapists to death, only a few were caught alive."
Weliston said like he could read minds. Without a word, Weliston put another handcuff on each of them that had a chain attached to it that Weliston could hold to control where the wearer goes, and removed the cuffs attached to the chair. He led them to the organization's jail and put them one by one in individual cells side by side.
"No funny ideas, death is always the consequence." He said before leaving them locked. Silence filled the air, except for Justin's wheezing and coughing. The jail was holding no one but the three, but why was that? Immediately Arkin began to formulate a plan using nothing but the items inside the room, there was only a bed with a cover and pillow, a toilet with a sink and mirror and a chair along with a table with paper and writing materials. Other than the aforementioned, there was nothing else useful. The floor was clean, spotless, along with everything else. They wanted the new soldiers comfortable with what will seem to be their new home forever. Arkin quickly noticed that there was a rectangular hole serving as a window with metal bars sticking from top to bottom. He wondered what item he could get that could help break the bars, that is until he realized there was a tall wall 4 feet away from the bars. Arkin couldn't escape by that with just items possibly scattered. He began analyzing outside the cell doors, there was nothing outside except the hard cold tiles. Arkin needed an original and complex plan, and he got nothing to work with. They confiscated the group's weapons and tools that could help them escape.
"You guys got anything that wasn't confiscated? I'm trying to find a way out of here." Arkin asked.
"Nope, nothing but the clothes on my back along with my phone is left with me." replied John while Justin remained quiet. With nothing else to do, Arkin sketched out a map of the building according to what he saw. Although it wasn't pretty, it was the only thing he could do that might help them escape, dark days are ahead, full of death and darkness caused by the special forces, wars will be made and friendships will be broken, hard times along with torture will scar everyone involved, fight or run are the only two options and Arkin had to choose one for the future of his friends and the world. Arkin knew this and wanted no part of it, inspired by the will to live and dedication to escape to live out his life to the fullest, he continued his drawing and didn't stop planning for the good of him and his friends.
