FRIDAY OCTOBER 31ST - HALLOWEEN - SABRINA AND SCARLETTS BIRTHDAY.
I was awoken by Aunt Hilda's humming. "Oh morning Scarlett." She sang to me as I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. "Morning! Umm whats that?" I questioned the dress hanging on my door. "Its your dress, for the baptism. It was what your mother wore on her first date with your father, I thought this was more you then her wedding dress." Hilda informed me. I jumped up from bed with a smile etched across my face. I walked over to the lace, black dress dragging my hands across the material trying to muster up a scenario of my parents first date. "Its beautiful." I gawked.
"Your making the right decision just know that." Aunt Hilda squeezed my arm to reassure me. I gave her a smile and whispered to my self to reassure myself "I know."
...
I make my way down the steps a little bit later then usual as I've already predicted no school for today, so I made plans. Well one-sided plans. Well there still plans with someone just surprise plans so they are welcome. I came down into the living room, to walk in just as Sabrina walks out wiping a tear.
"Brina, everything okay?" I asked worried. "Yeah." She answered bluntly before walking up the stairs. I deemed it best to leave her to her thoughts.
I walked in met with Ambrose. "Hey cuz I'm going out i'll be back in like an hour." I quickly talk before turning around. "Okay have fun!" He smiled back not even sure he picked up what I said.
...
Approaching the Kinkle residents I took one deep breathe. I walked to Tommys window, the gust of wind filling my nostalgia of the many nights and days having to sneak to and from the window. Just on schedule as I looked up at him doing his hair in his mirror. I looked up making sure to take a deep breathe. I picked up a small, grey rock from the ground but as soon as I touched it pictures started flashing. A helmet crushed on the floor, with rocks sprawled around it. A bloody hand reaching from underneath. I let out a blood-curdling scream as it reached for me. The stone dropped along with my body to the floor.
...
"Hey, Scar. Wake up." His soft voice, soothed me as my eyes started to focus. Focus on his face. His rough hand, gently brushed the blonde locks out of my face as he soothed me with his head close to mine and my body resting on just his knees. Wait?! Did he call me Scar. Oh no, he remembers. I shoot up from his safe body. "You know me?" I asked dumbly.
"You must of hit your head real hard. Im Harvey's brother, Tommy we met the other day when I gave you your clothes back and you always come round?" He spoke softly with hints of worry in his voice. "Are you okay?" He asked even more softly and before I could say anything I put by small hand up to his tanned cheek. I looked him in his deep brown eyes. I stopped thinking, I stopped feeling anything as I leaned in towards his face. The crazy thing is he leaned in as well. Before I knew it our lips were touching. His soft, pure lips reached my rough and dry ones. I wrapped my arm around his neck deepening the kiss. I needed him more, he grabbed onto my thighs pulling me into the house and onto the kitchen side where my legs met the cold kitchen counter. I touched the hems of his khaki green, tight shirt prepared to rip it off, he dragged it off him slowly revealing his chiseled abs from working in the mines. He dragged his tongue along my bottom lip, caressing and teasing me for entrance. Im not prepared to deny him. He slips it in softly and our tongues dance with joy, hunger and fulfilment. He releases from the kiss and takes his soft lips to my porcelain neck. Trailing pure, butterfly kisses along it. Until he reached the spot I release my head back in pure satisfaction. Until the door opens and our head snaps towards it.
"Tommy you here?" Harvey's voice beamed with joy as he walked through the door not prepared to see the mishaps of the his brother and well that parts confusing, girl.
"Shit." I shout out as I grab my denim jacket shrug it over my shoulders and hide under the kitchen table. I see Harveys legs walk into the kitchen.
"Can I borrow your mining helmet?" He asked not even aware of his shirtless brother and some questionable sounds from the kitchen. "Sure, in my room." Tommy spoke fast and out of breathe. "Thanks." Harvey shouted walking out of the kitchen and as he took a step onto the stairs added "Hey Lettie!" Harvey gleamed happy to see his brother and one of his best friends together. "Ughhhh." I let out from underneath the table.
Tommy untucked one of the chairs, to let me be released from my mini dungeon of shame. I awkwardly balanced from one foot to the other. Not sure where this would go. "You should go." Tommy said sternly, whilst itching the back of his neck not sure what to do. "Yeah I should, enjoy your crumpet governor." I shouted through the door as I left. Okay Scarlett get your shit together. I should not go I came there to talk not to get it on and the English thing god what am I playing at. I should of never have come, well maybe I should of cause that was enjoyable but now its kind of depressing. "Ughhhh." I said out loud letting it echo through the forest on my way back home.
