It was a special day today, Mrs. and Mr. Coleman just had their newborn baby girl, Spirit Coleman. They lived out in the country alone so people couldn't find them. They were different, scary. They were demons. It would be better if no one found them, ever. Spirit was born with pretty red hair, and blue eyes. But something was different, she was a human and a demon, Mrs Coleman had passed this trait down to her. They lived together happily for three years. Until one night.

They were asleep in their home when they suddenly heard shouting coming from outside, a light peered through their bedroom window as they got up to see what was going on. They looked outside to see a big crowd of people with torches and gasoline. They both ran into Spirits room to protect her. They started to hear the door being broken down as they huddled in the corner of Spirits room together.

"I'm going to protect us, stay here." Mr. Coleman said as he slowly opened the door to the hallway upstairs.

"Oh, please be careful!" Mrs. Coleman whispered. As he walked down the stairs, the banging got louder and louder. He crept into the kitchen to grab a knife. He grabbed one and ran into the corner of the kitchen and hid from the window. He started to smell the smoke from all of their torches. He started to creep back to the stairs as he heard the door bust down completely and the light from the torches poured into the home.

There was silence for a moment until screams from the crowd started echoing. He quickly ran upstairs to warn his wife about the mob, they started to get defensive as they heard the marching footsteps up the stairs, Mrs. Coleman told Spirit to stay in the closet and be quiet. She was confused and she couldn't understand what was going on, but she did as they told her.

They busted into the room as they started to fight the two of them, they were able to fight off most of them before they smelt the flames and smoke rushing through the house. It was being burnt to the ground. They quickly grabbed their baby and started running around the house looking for a place to escape, but it was no use.

There was no where they could escape. They took Spirit and ran to the back of the house on the first floor. They told Spirit that they loved her for the last time. They kissed Spirit goodbye as they helped her through of the window. She fell into a soft flower bush, cushioning the fall. They couldn't fit through the window, it was no use. They screamed for help, but nobody answered. The house was covered in smoke and fire, and they burned completely with the house. They died from the fire and smoke, but the house was saved, and it still sits there, empty. After everyone had left from the home, a woman named Marie was behind the crowd. She was trying to stop everyone from doing this, she knew it was wrong, and she wanted to save them, but it was no use.

As she was walking away from the house in defeat she heard a faint cry coming from the back of the home, she quickly ran behind the house to see Spirit, lying on the bed of flowers with tears in her eyes. She looked at her with shock. She slowly and carefully made her way to her to let Spirit know she wasn't a threat.

"Your parents sacrificed their lives for you.. You can come live with me and my son. I promise ill take good care of you. Spirit.. What a beautiful name." She took the baby home to start a new life with her and her son Kaden.
