Chapter 8: Kidnapped

       Sonic's POV

        I was running around in a forest when I heard a branch snap behind me. I looked behind, but nothing was there. I ignored it and continued running. All of the sudden I felt someone grab my arm which I thought was impossible since I was running at a high rate of speed. They then knocked me out cold. I could only feel my body being lifted up and being carried to another place. 

Narrator's POV

      Sonic woke up in a cold room with food and a bed in it. He grew very scared and worried that no one would find him. All of the sudden he heard footsteps coming closer and louder. The door in front of him opened and he saw someone he knew for all his life.

Sonic: "M-Manic?!" 

    Manic stayed quiet.

Sonic: "What are you doing here?!"

Manic: "I don't want you with that black hedgehog...."

Sonic: "You mean Shadow? But we're married and I don't want a divorce."

Manic: "Then I'm not letting you go."

Sonic: "Wait- You're the one who kidnapped me?! You can't do that!"

Manic: "Who said I couldn't?"

Sonic: "The law."

Manic: "That's true, but I have a good reason not to let you go."

Sonic: "That reason isn't a good one! Let me go!"

    Manic grew quiet once again.

Sonic: "Manic, are you jealous?"

       Still no answer.

Manic: "Maybe, maybe not."

Sonic: "You are jealous!"

Manic: "Alright fine. It's because you spend too much time with that 'Shadow' of yours.

Sonic: "Manic I love spending time with Shadow, and I hope he thinks the same."

Manic: "What if he doesn't?"

Sonic: "Then I'll talk to him."

Manic: "Fine I'll let you go."

Sonic: "Really?"

Manic: "Yes, I'm also sorry I kidnapped you. I couldn't reach your number."

Sonic: "Yeah, my phone broke."

Manic: "Seems reasonable for a speedy boy like you."

Sonic: "Hey! I didn't break my phone by it falling out of my pocket while running! I dropped it into the toilet...and I couldn't dry it off in rice...."

Manic: "Heh."

Sonic: "Oh Please."

       Manic grabbed Sonic and led him outside where they parted. Sonic ran home and told Shadow what happened but told Shadow not to call the police on him. Shadow agreed not to and understood why he was so jealous.

Shadow: "I told you people will get jealous of us."

Sonic: "Yeah."

Shadow: "It's getting late, we should probably go to bed."

Sonic: "Agreed."

     Shadow and Sonic went upstairs. Both settled down under the covers and quickly fell asleep. Both were very tired because of the long day they had, so they slept very well.
