August 3

Kali sat at the end of her ordinary wooden framed bed, twiddling with a loose string in the white comforter.

The breeze swirled into her room from the open window. The cool summer air combed through her long, straight fawn/brown hair, making it messily lay on her shoulders.

Her emerald green eyes stared blankly out the window into a vast, open valley painted with bright eye pleasing blue, yellow, and red flowers.

The white door of her bedroom swung open gently as her mother stepped into the room. Sarah Potter, younger sister of the deceased Lily Potter and Petunia Dursley. She shot Kali a sweet smile

"Hey Kal, I've uh... been waiting for the right time to give you this, I know this is long overdue but I've decided it was the right thing to do."

She pulled a tan envelope from out from behind her back and handed it to Kali.

Kali excitedly but also curiously accepted Sarah's offer and took the envelope into her hands.

When Kali saw the symbol on the back of the envelope she immediately smirked.

to Kalipso Kenai Potter, 124 Country road.

the letter wrote underneath the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry symbol. She slid her nail under the wax seal and tore the letter open, pulling out a neatly folded piece of paper.

Her Hogwarts acceptance letter, she had been waiting for this for a long while (since she wasn't allowed to attend when she was 11 years old, she would be attending as a forth year student). Sarah and Kali's dad Sean Potter (He took Sarah's last name in marriage) had tried to restrict Kali to local muggle schools because they hated the idea of Kali attending Hogwarts, considering what had happened to Lily and James.

Lily and James were murdered by the Dark Lord himself, and Harry Potter somehow survived his killing curse, instantly making him famous to the magical world.

As much as Kali loved her cousin Harry, she also couldn't stand him (But that's not the point). She just couldn't believe that her parents were finally letting her attend the magical school.

Kali stood up from her bed, smiling ear to ear. She skipped over to her smiley mother and wrapped her arms around her in a long, warm hug.

Kali and Sarah had arrived in Diagon Alley to shop for school supplies. Kali wore a forest green loose fit sweater that matched her emerald green eyes, a pair of cuffed mom-jeans, and a clean pair of shiny black dr. Martens boots.

They ended up purchasing a neat set of dress clothes, the perfect wand, some books, and a beautiful white feathered snowy owl that Kali decided to name Clyde.
