Midnight

Theo's POV

Luckily, I got out of the house without dad questioning me. Dad was on a work trip and wouldn't come back until a couple days later. I just walked to the park since it wasn't far and the street lights helped me find my way. I arrived and started looking for Pip. It was hard until I found something bright. It was the gazebo. I approached the walkway to the gazebo and the walkway was covered with rose petals. I looked up and saw Philip standing in the middle with my favorite flowers, lavenders. It seemed unreal. I went up the steps and finally reached Pip.

"Pip what is all of this?" I said while looking around, mesmerized.

He handed me the flowers. "It's just that I like you Theo. I always have. I'm not sure when it started but, I think it was the first time I met you. Do you remember that?" I nodded. I felt my heart racing and my face burning. Is this just a dream? If so, I hope I don't wake up. "I looked at you and I guess I just fell in love. I felt helpless. I never knew I would get so lucky to have you as my friend. But, I knew I wanted more though, I just didn't have the guts to ask you out. And everyday that passes I regret not asking you. I was so scared of rejection I didn't think about if you liked me or not."

"Oh...." I felt my face going completely red. That was all I could say at the moment. I didn't trust my mouth at all.

"Since I first met you my feelings have grown stronger and it's come to the point of where I can't take it anymore. Theo at this point, I pretty much love you."

I had no idea what to say. I was red and Pip was too. "Well... I love you too. Sometimes I just didn't want to admit it because I never expected you to like me as well. But, I guess I was wrong." I looked down to avoid eye contact. Next thing I know, he titled my head up. We were so close. My heart couldn't handle it. He smirked a little and did the most amazing thing ever. He leaned in and kissed me. That moment felt like an eternity but, it also felt like a second. I'm not sure how long it lasted but it was great.

Philip's POV

I was so nervous at first. But, the gazebo looks great, thanks to Angie. There were fairy lights around the gazebo and rose petals scattered on the walkway. But, when I kissed Theo everything just felt right. After, I looked in her eyes and said, "I've been waiting for this for so long."

She smiled, "Me too."

"But it's not over yet." I stepped out of the way and revealed a picnic blanket with a basket.

"Pip this is too much!"

"To me it isn't." I shrugged. We both took a seat on the blanket.

"So what did you pack?"

"Some of your favorites."

"Is it pasta?"

"Nope."

"Hmm... Ice cream?"

"No."

Theo gasped. "Is it chocolate covered strawberries?!"

"Correct!" I pulled them out of the basket.

"Yes!" Theo reached for one. "This is my all time favorite!"

"I know it's one of the foods you always have in your birthday parties or any party of yours."

"....Nooooooo."

"Yes it's true! You know it's true."

"You're wrong I have it in any special occasion." We stared at each other and burst into laughter. We finished eating and headed towards the grass. I sat down while Theo was laying down with her head on my lap.

"The stars are so bright." Theo said gazing at them.

"Yeah, they really are." I looked up to admire them.

"Oh look it's the Big Dipper!" Theo started tracing it out with her hand. Theo has always been into astrology.

"You know the stars are like us." I joined her in the last part. "They shine when it's their time." We both said it and Theo started laughing.

"You know me too well Pip."

"It's not my fault you say that almost everyday!"

We just talked for the rest of the time. It was one of the best moments I've ever had. It was perfect. It was around 2:50am.

"Oh Theo it's late we should head home." I showed her the time.

"Oh you're right!" I got the basket and we headed towards Theo's house. We reached her front door.

"Bye Pip! I'll see you at school!"

"Bye Theo!" She entered her house and I started walking away.

Theo's POV

I got ready for bed and I couldn't stop thinking about Pip. My heart was still beating fast. I was hoping it wasn't a dream. Soon enough, I finally drifted off to sleep.

I woke up and grabbed my phone. I got ready for school like always and went to make myself some breakfast. I decided on scrambled eggs, waffles, and bacon. As I was putting my food on a plate I got a text from Angie.

Angie: How was it with Pip?

Theo: It was great! Best moment of my life.

Angie: Well that's good to hear. I'm still trying to hit things off with Frances...

Theo: I'm sure you two will end up together.

Angie: Hope so. Anyways see ya at school.

Theo: See ya!

I set my phone down next to me and started eating. I woke up really early since I couldn't really sleep so I had a lot of time to spare. I turned on the TV and started watching Game Of Thrones. School didn't start until 7:30 and it's only 5:40 right now. I have plenty of time to watch Game Of Thrones. I rewatched the whole series just to prepare myself for season 8. I only started back at season 1 maybe a month ago. Even though I study and read a lot, I still make time to binge watch any show. Then, I got a text from Pip.

Pip: Hey I have a surprise for you!

Theo: What is it?

Pip: You'll have to find out at school.

Theo: Aww fine. See ya.

Pip: See ya.

Let's just say I wondered what he had for me until I arrived at school.

Hah sorry we missed a week. WE AREN'T DEAD I PROMISE. But you know hope you enjoyed it. It'll keep on getting better and better. And yaaa that's it. WE'LL TRY TO NOT MISS A WEEK ANYMORE.
