“Carma! Time to get up!” A voice was shouting at me, trying to wake the demon inside of me. I groaned and the demon left my body, forcing me to open my eyes and let in the sun light. I decided to lie in my bed a bit, until Mum started yelling.
“Mmm…” It felt so good just to lie there, in my own little world, sinking in to the blankets and hiding away and blocking everything around me out.
“CARMA!! I TOLD YOU TO GET UP!!” My eyes suddenly snapped wide and I realized I was supposed to be getting up. I slowly moved away from my blankets and jittered out of my bedroom door, leaving all dreams I may have had behind me. I walked into the dining room and almost hurled, except I couldn’t, because I had nothing to hurl. I saw my older brother eating – I mean destroying his breakfast. They way he eats is just mortifying. It’s gross. I finally stopped grossing-out and made it to the table. I grabbed a bowl and all that was missing was those delicious, rainbow, sugary Pop Tarts. I really thought I was going BLIND. I could not for the life of me find the bloody cereal!
“Destery! Where’s the cereal?” I was mad, I liked to eat my breakfast.
“GONE.” I could barely understand what he was saying with his mouth-full-of-food, but I did manage. I rolled my eyes and out of the corner of my eye, I saw Miika rushing around, grabbing her pencil case and school books. I looked at the clock and “HOLY SHIT!” I raced to my room, pulled on my hot pre-ripped jeans, a Paramore shirt I won at their concert and my red Converse sneaks. But I was struggling to go fast enough. I was trying to get my shoe on, hopping around my room like a mad-bitch. I finally got my clothes on, not worring if I had anything on back-to-front or inside-out.
“Bloody hell!” I whacked my arm on the door, the cause, me being in such a frantic rush to get to school. I called myself a dumb-bitch on the way out, to get my gear. I grabbed my bag, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and skate-board. I snatched the last piece of toast on the plate (thank God for that piece of toast) like my life depended on it and shoved it in my mouth as I gave Mum and Dave a sloppy kiss each. I raced out the door and put my wheels to the ground. The wind felt so good rushing through my hair, whistling through the gaps in my helmet. Before I knew it, I was at the school gate. I picked up my board and sprinted the rest of the way to class, reaching the door just as the bell rang. I took my seat, Miss Doevy just entering the room.
“Talk about good timing” I mumbled to myself, removing all my skate gear. I sat next to a girl, named Erin Chester. I really liked this girl. She’s always making me cry with laughter and she’s extremely nice to me. Im pretty sure she likes me too.
