A strange new world

Chapter one, Alexa Atoms

Our story starts off with Alexa Atoms, a very pretty girl, very smart, and a heart bigger than any other. Alexa lives with her mother Jennet. Her father died when she was 12, she is 13 now and the most adventurous  person you will ever meet. Alexa is the smartest person in her class and most likely in her school. She is a cheerleader, a gymnast, extremely popular, and goes to science camp every summer. "Alexa!" Alexa's mother called down to her. "Can you come upstairs for a minute?"
"Sure mom!" Alexa said and ran upstairs. "What's up?"
"I need for you to go to the store to grab me some milk. Can you do that?"
"Yes ma'am." Alexa ran out the door hoped on her bike and rode to the store. She was there with in 2 minutes.
"Hey, Alexa! How's your mother?" The cashier at the local grocery store asked.
"She's fine, thank you for asking."
"How are you?" She asked
"Oh I'm alright, thank you. How are you?"
"Great, thanks." Alexa grabbed the milk and the cashier said "Is that all?"
"Yeah." Alexa said.
"Here you go, have a good evening." Just then a bright flashing light went off. It was a brilliant shade of purple

"Woah! What is that?" The cashier said.
"I don't know! I'm going to go check it out!" Alexa threw her money on the counter grabbed the milk and ran out the door. The light was coming from the french broad river which was about a 3 minute walk, but Alexa was running as fast as lightning so she got there in 1.
"Whoa." She said as she ran up to the river. Right in front of her, was an enormous spaceship that had crashed, and in front of it was a beautiful girl with dirty blonde hair and pale skin, laying on the ground, half dead. Alexa was terrified, but she was mostly worried about the girl. She picked her up and ran home to her mother as fast as she could.
