I sighed. I was sitting on the floor in the practice room. I had just spent five hours practicing the same dance. If I wasn't going to debut any time soon, why make me learn a dance that needed to be perfect? My friend, Mi Young, was also exhausted. She had poured her water bottle all over her face, drenching her hair. All of a sudden a group of the company workers stormed in, all looking nervous. I decided not to question them.
"Victoria!" One of them, a girl with her light, brown hair in a bun and black eyes, said all of a sudden. My eyes widened. Me? She had said my name? Mi Young looked at me in surpise. Yep. She had definitely said my name.
"Y-Yes, mam?" I said, my voice shaking as I said so. She frowned and didn't look too excited. She cleared her throat.
"You aren't going to be a trainee anymore, Victoria." She said and my eyes widened.
"W-What? How? Why wouldn't I be?" I said, starting to panic. Why wouldn't I be a trainee anymore? Was I not good enough?
"From now on, you're training to be a manager." She told me and my jaw dropped open.
A manager. I was going to train to be a manager.
