Chapter 3: You're Just A Glorified Hunter, I Am A Goddess

"And you will have to share your room with Loki here until we can organise your own room." Denzel finishes his tour of the facilities and opens the door to a trickster god emerging from what I can only assume is the bathroom with only a towel around his waist, he smirks at me as he grabs his clothes and returns to the bathroom. I turn to Denzel.

"Your job just got a whole lot easier, cause now you don't have to make me completely emotionless. I can only assume you had this planned otherwise you wouldn't need me."
"Well you can never have too many weapons and Loki was demanding company so we'd prefer him to become acquainted with you than with a human or some monster." Denzel then informs me that training will start after breakfast tomorrow and that Loki can help me out with any questions I have and tells me the rest of the day is mine to spend how I want. I make my way into the room and shut the door behind me and sit on the spare bed. Loki emerges from the bathroom fully clothed and makes his way over to me.

"Hi I'm Eris." Loki grins and sits next to me.

"When they told me I was finally getting a roommate they didn't tell me I was getting the last trickster goddess. It's a very nice surprise." Loki has a very strong British accent and I realise why we haven't met yet.

"So how long have you been with the British Men Of Letters?"

"Fifty years give or take I have been in contact with them although I am not their weapon as they like to call me, I come and go as I please." I nod. "So what brings you to them? From what I knew you were trying to go unnoticed."

"I was, although if I knew you were around here I would have been here a long time ago." Loki grins and lays behind me, I copy his movement. "Do they have good security here?"

"Why?"

"There are a lot of different things after me now, perks of being the last female of your kind I guess."

"Oh trust me no-one is taking you from here unless I am with you. I'm a pretty good body guard." There is a screeching noise in my head, I sit up and hold my head in hands as it gets louder. Loki moves in front of me and I can see his lips moving but I can't hear him, suddenly Castiel's voice replaces the screeches.
"Where are you?" I squeeze my eyes shut.

"Get out of my head you asshole!" I scream.

"Where are you?"

"Get out of my head Castiel. You clearly didn't want me around, I'm fucking gone. I'm not your problem anymore." The screeching and yelling in my head stops and I am left with a dull throbbing. I open my eyes to see Denzel, Loki and Denzel's best fighter, Kaiden all surrounding me.

"Who is Castiel?" Loki barks, I rub my temples and glare at him.

"The angel I hung out with before I came here." Denzel hands me a pain killer and some water. I quickly swallow them and then stand up. "Alright I'm hungry, do you people give me food or do I get my own?"

"You will need to get your own meal but with the amount of things after you, you are not going out alone." Kaiden says as he stands up.

"Well let's go then." I take a wobbly step forward but I am stopped before I can leave. "Oh come on, I was just getting my momentum going, now I have to start again." I turn around to see Loki holding me back, he pushes me down onto the bed. "Seriously, now? With those two watching?" I shrug and lean towards Loki who stops me.

"You're staying here whilst I go and get you dinner, I won't risk you getting hurt." I roll my eyes and gag.

"Oh god, that's so sweet I think I might vomit. But unfortunately you can't just tell me not to go somewhere and expect me to listen."
