I was wandering around aimlessly, no roots, no direction....... I was shown a better way, to be part of a family, a community. She did that. Over my lifetime I had made and lost many friends and acquaintances.... Once I settled down I began making deeper connections with people, enjoying true friendships..... She did that. Coming from a cold unloving past I knew little of the deep feelings that are possible between partners, lovers, those that you hold close. I now have a filled heart and I know there is someone who cares. She did that. I carried a chip of anger and defiance on my shoulder as a younger man, not letting anyone close. With simple patience and being taught by example, I was shown the glory of patience and acceptance. She did that. After decades of my temper, my silliness, my stupidity, my impatience, and my many imperfections I don't feel alone, unloved, unsupported, or unhappy....... I feel truly blessed....... SHE DID THAT!
