the weekend was finally here. i made it through an entire fucking school week. probably the most eventful week of my life! i learned that i would be marrying a total stranger who is luckily literally the most handsome human ever and a definite sweetheart. god, life is fun. today, Saturday, Julianna, Quinn, and I are going dress shopping. since the whole Charity being a bitch thing broke out, Quinn obviously found out about the engagement. we told her the whole story on how it's not real real, but no one else knows the genuine story.
Julianna decided it would be quite fun to start looking for my wedding gown, so we returned to Zoililia Boutique. the room was filled with so many white dresses. i had barely started looking at the racks of dresses when i was tapped on the shoulder. i turn around to face Julianna and Quinn holding mountains of white fabric, lace, and jewels right in my face.
"we found a few to try on!" says Quinn. I smile at her and take the dresses grabbing a few of my own choice. i entered a near by dressing room and put all of the gowns on hooks.
the first dress i tried on was a very snug, silky mermaid dress. it was covered in gems all over the bodice. i walk out of the dressing room and show Julianna and Quinn. they look at me quite oddly. fake smiles."Caroline that is absolutely hideous." Julianna states. i look down at the dress and brush the non-existing dust of my satin covered thighs. "i think it's quite lovely." i grin at her, but then we all three break out into fits of laughter.
after the first dress, i tried on many more. it felt like a movie, you know, Princess Protection Program. i decided i would put on one more dress. it was my favorite and i saved it for last. the dress was very white. it was covered in so much lace and a few gems here and there. it was very flow-y and easy to move in. i pushes back the curtains and walked out to stand on the little stage- modeling the dress."Caroline you look beautiful." Quinn says. she looked as if tears were developing.
"thank you quinnie. there's no need to cry though, it's just a dress." i assure her.
"oh Caroline! that is not just a dress! it's the dress you will married in! you're buying it! it's stunning and Houston might as well fall in love seeing you look that hot." we all start laughing a ton at Julianna's comment. she's right though. the dress looks amazing on me and it would be great for dancing.
"i'm saying yes to the dress!"

"i said yes to the dress on Saturday."
"oh really? what does it look like?"
Houston and i are walking together to lunch. we figured we should probably present the whole relationship thing to everybody.
"it's a surprise, but i can assure you that it is white." i tell him.
"ok good. i questioned before if you could be into gothic stuff." he jokes and i laugh. we reach the doors of the lunch hall. Houston grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers. his hands a really warm and soft. quite enjoyable. we step into the cafeteria and the looks are already thrown. whispers consisting of "Houston and Caroline?" "i heard they're married?" "aren't they like a thing?" were spread left and right. Houston squeezes my hand and guides us to my usual table.
"hey care. what's up Houston?" Sterling sits down with a tray of food. they do that little bro hug type thing and sit down.
"hey Houston." a girl touches his shoulder and sits down fairly close to him at the table. i look at her and quickly recognize the face.
Charity Wallace. Houston gives me a look of reassurance and holds my hand. he turns and faces her to see a smirk played on her face."hi Charity." the light in his face goes dim and his eyes darken.
i continue to eat my lunch, while listening to their conversation.
"so Houston, do you want to go dinner sometime? possibly on the eighth- my schedule happens to be completely open that day. we have lots of catching up to do." her hand reaches his arm and she traces her finger down his arm and to his leg. Houston squeezes my hand.
"actually i'm taking Caroline dancing that night. did you know we're engaged?" he tells her. her smirk goes straight and lowers her eyes.
"yeah i heard. well i don't mind sitting here for lunch, so i might as well stay." she says. Julianna puts her fingers in her mouth as if to gag herself. i laugh, nearly choking on my food.
"so are you guys going to the homecoming dance? Charity asks. we all nod. "as a group. it's our thing, making grand entrances and all." Rhett says.
"that's nice." she makes a slightly disgusted face. what the fuck is her deal.
"color themes this year. let's do white and black." Quinn says. everyone agrees. we finish lunch and stand up from the table. i began walking away, but i didn't see Houston leave. i turn around and see Charity moving herself closer to him she pushed her hair back and pulled her skirt up her ass.
"it was lovely seeing you Houston Sage. if you ever need to talk just know i'm here. i'm great for secrets especially!" she says in a voice-cracking, seductive tone. i pick up the pace walking to Houston. when i got to him i grabbed his face and forced his lips on mine. he kissed back quickly and the force softened with each kiss. when we released, i heard an "ugh!" in the back and heard Charitys' heels roughly clicking away. Houston held my face and kissed me again. it felt quite like the first. "two rules broken." i looked at him briefly and walked away.
