rylieen xurca-dillon was a pretty girl with a short temper, a very, very short temper.
~
rylieen was, to put it simply, absolutely shitfaced. she was stumbling about in the bar she had visited during her stay in ireland. she had ordered more drinks than she could pay for, and the bar owner was quite upset about it.
it was her mistake, however, to piss off vampire.
she was new to the whole, being a werewolf thing, and she hated it with a burning passion of a thousand suns. the full moon was approaching faster than her death and she was not looking forward to it, so she had decided to get shitface drunk everyday before the full moon hit.
it was her mistake, as the bar owner pulled her out of the bar. she didn't notice the owner grab a pistol from behind the bar.
the flash of silver caught jonah marais eye, causing the curious original to follow them out.
ryliee was giggling the entire time, even when the bar owner pressed the gun to her temple. she was too out of it, and if she was completely honest, she didn't care if she died today. "shoot." she giggled, looking up at him.
the thick accent he had caught ryliee off guard, sure, she was in ireland. but most didn't have this thick of an accent. "I want my money." he glared, jonah raising an eyebrow and stepping across the threshold, the door slamming shut behind him.
ryliee was giggling, this giggle was more faded as the bar owner looked over, jamming his gun closer to her temple. "this matter doesn't concern you." he snapped, looking at the original.
"i feel as if it doesn't matter whether this involves me or not, you are about to kill an innocent, who, if i may add, is very clearly in pain."
"does it look like i give a shit about whether she's in pain or not?" the owner snapped, rylieen getting sick of the chit-chat and grabbing the gun from the owner, placing it to her own temple.
jonah and the owner both looked surprised by the action, ryliee simply shrugging. "you were taking too long." she glared, the gun being grabbed by jonah before she could even think about pulling the trigger.
jonah sighed, ripping the heart out of the bar owner's chest, letting it fall to the ground, helping ryliee up. "i'm going to keep this gun, and i want you to walk home. am i clear?"
ryliee giggled, nodding up at him. "you're tall." she whispered, earning an eye roll from jonah.
~
rylieen was in Mexico this time, drinking herself to death. once again, there was no way she could pay for these drinks. however this time, that wasn't why her life almost ended. she had been picking a fight with everyone, all night.
it caught up with her.
eventually, someone dragged her outside, three hybrids cornering her. she was just giggling, staring up at them. "that's cute." she hummed.
one growled, the other two cocking their heads. "cute?" they snapped, the growling one grabbing her by the forehead and slamming her head into the wall behind her.
ryliee hissed, her eyes flashing yellow just as jonah marais walked out, sighing at the three hybrids cornering the werewolf.
he walked over, tapping two on the shoulder.
the two looked at him, "what?" they snapped, the other continuing to slam rylieen's head against the wall.
her head would PROBABLY hurt after that.
jonah sighed, seeing that it was the girl he had saved in ireland and ripped the hybrids hearts out, letting them fall to the ground.
the last hybrid stopped, staring at jonah. "i'll stop, i'll stop, i promise. don't fuckin' kill me."
jonah glared at the hybrid, the male running off quickly under jonah's gaze.
"you have a thing about getting yourself into sticky situations, don't you?" jonah sighed, looking at the blood on the wall.
ryliee nodded softly, jonah lifting her up onto her feet. "thank you." she whispered, holding the back of her head.
"stay out of trouble, girl. i won't always be here to save you."
"what if i don't want to be saved?" ryliee questioned, staring up at jonah.
jonah stared at her for a moment, his eyebrows furrowing, "why would you not want to be saved?"
"you try being out-casted because your mom decided to go bat-shit crazy and cheat on her husband with a werewolf." ryliee snapped, holding her head and walking off quickly.
"could i at least get your name?"
"rylieen." ryliee answered, continuing to walk away.
the name bounced around in jonah's mind, and he decided he liked it.
~
ah, new orleans.
ah, rylieen.
always drunk, always causing trouble.
she giggled, dancing with a vampire until the night passed.
and she pissed off quite a few witches in the process, she didn't know how, but she had.
and she was cornered when it hit two am.
"you," they glared, ryliee's heartbeat speeding up.
she didn't particularly want to die this time.
thank god for jonah, right?
jonah sighed, walking over as soon as he saw rylieen, wrapping his arm around her waist, "love!" he greeted with a smile, "i've been looking for you all night." he hummed, ryliee letting out a breath and wrapping her arms around his neck.
"sorry for disappearing, i just had to get a few drinks, you know?" she giggled, resting her head on his chest.
the witches looked at jonah, immediately scattering when they saw that he was an original.
jonah immediately let go of rylieen's waist, the girl letting her arms fall from his neck. "i told you to stay safe!" he sighed.
"well i have this thing about me, you see. i don't listen."
jonah sighed again, looking at the brunette girl. "you really are frustrating for such a pretty girl."
"sorry," she shrugged, holding her hand out, "thank you for saving me, again. but it's just not fair that you know my name and i don't know yours."
jonah raised an eyebrow, shaking her hand slowly, "jonah."
"jonah..?"
"now, i don't exactly know your last name, do i?"
"rylieen xurca-dillon," she rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "what's your last name?"
"marais." he hummed, earning wide-eyes from rylieen.
"you're an original?"
