Beyonders Origins: Sergio

Prologue

Sirens are blaring in the Special Forces base and soldiers are panicking due to a meteor crashing on Earth. Within the meteor, some analyzers have found a heartbeat within it.

"We are all doomed!" A soldier shouts.

"I have to hurry to my husband and child!" Another says.

Luckily, the new general of S.F, Sonya Blade shoots her gun in the air to get everyone's attention.

"Everyone! We need to stay calm! We don't know if this is a threat yet!" Sonya yells to the field of soldiers.

"But, General, haven't you seen the movies? Anything that comes from space usually means death to us!" A soldier replies.

Her husband, Johnny Cage, comes beside her laughing his head off.

"Look, rookie, we have been dealing with demons, ancient sorcerers, and anything that comes from Outworld. This alien shouldn't scare ya." Johnny says.

Sonya sighs, "Although that is one way to put it, Johnny is right. You all signed up to deal with threats small as a civil war and as big as Outworld monsters." She points to the helicopters, "Now, stop crying and get your asses in the choppers!"

"Yes, ma'am!" They all shout in fear and start loading up the weapons.

Sonya and Johnny go to their personal helicopter. She closes the door and hugs Johnny.

"Sonya, we will be fine." Johnny says.

"Johnny, what if it is a threat? We probably can't stop it!" Sonya says.

"Look, just--"

She punches the wall of the helicopter, "Just what?! Give up!?"
"Just calm down! Don't you remember who we know? We know Sub-Zero, who can freeze people! Jax has metal arms... and he is strong!" Johnny smiles, "And who can forget the God of Thunder himself, Raiden!"
She slaps him to make him stop, "Sub-zero is still recovering the aftermath of being turned into a revenant. Jax is done with fighting and Raiden isn't here."
Johnny is confused, "What do you mean?"
"Raiden came to me and told me that he had to speak with other gods. So, we lost our powerhouse."

A soldier opens the door, "Major-- I mean, General! The meteor is showing a more reactive heartbeat!"

"Alright, soldier. Tell the others to get ready to go now." Sonya says in a hesitant tone.

The soldier leaves and Johnny puts his hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry. Who needs those them? I mean, we do, but we can deal with this."

She hesitates, but she nods to Johnny and pilots the helicopter herself.

Chapter 1

Eighteen years have passed since and Sonya is looking for her son around the new refugee base for Outworlders.

"Sergio! Where are you?" Sonya shouts in her communicator to contact her son.

Sergio, a sixteen year old soldier. He trains in his private quarters at the refugee base. He practices his fighting technique on the punching bag.

"Wrist, how lethal are my attacks?" Sergio asks as he punches down the punching bag.

Wrist is Sergio's own A.I system that is shaped like a watch and keeps him company, "A new record, sir! I am thrilled you are training to suppress your strength."

Sergio does one final punch that sends the punching bag through the roof.

"Sir, we talked about this. You have to learn to repress your power or else you'll kill someone by accident."
