Chapter 13

Amber

As his hand stroked my back making me shiver with Sparks suddenly my Beta mind linked me.

'Alpha can you come back where ever you are' he said I could hear the worry in his thoughts

'Ya I'll be right over there.' I said.

I turned around and saw my mate standing there close to me.

"I have to go my Beta needs me." I said pulling his hands off of me. His eyes showed almost sadness and I walked off to see my Beta. I looked back but didn't see my mate. I went out to the back and found Henry on the porch.

"Alpha I was worried about you." he said.

"I'm fine what did you need." as the words came out of my mouth a girl hidden behind Henry.

"Alpha this is Jane." he said.

"Hi Jane nice to meet you." I said shaking her hand. "What pack are you from?"

"Gold Moon." she said quietly.

"Ah Alpha Aaron's pack. I've been there a couple of times." I said she looked at the ground afraid to look at me and Henry put an arm around her waist reassuring her. That's when I realized my dorky Beta found his mate.

"Well I look forward to seeing you soon Jane. I guess we will return with 601 wolfs instead isn't that right Henry."

He smirked and nodded his head.

"I'll talk to Alpha Aaron. Nice meeting you jane." I said with a smile.

I walked around the hall trying to find the Alpha. Instead I found Lea.

"Hey beautiful." I said as I found her talking to a boy. He soon bowed his head in respect.

"Hi Amber!" she said.

"Who's your friend." I asked

"Chris."

"Hi Chris I'm Amber." I said shaking his hand

"Ya I know who you are. My mom always told me stories about you." Chris said.

"Who's your mother." I asked

"Renee." he said. I hadn't heard of her before.

"Who is your dad?" I asked

"Cole the Beta of the Blood Crescent pack." I almost laughed at the irony.

" Well I'll let you guys talk." I said as I kissed Leas head. Just then the Alpha King came into the hall. He was a very old man and he had ruled for a long time but he still had fire in him. I bowed my head in respect

"Amber! Its so good to see you again. You look so much like your dear mother. How old are you now? The last time I saw you, you were wearing diapers on your head." The Alpha King said.

"It's always good to see you Alpha. I'm almost 18 now. I turn 18 in 2 months."

I said he smiled at me

"So grown up and responsible. Your parents and your brother would've been so proud to take the huge responsibility of healing a slaughtered pack." He said " You have down well. Your pack is strong and respectful. You have down so well unlike Alpha Matthews son. He took down 3 packs already. I do feel bad for him though. Matthew was all that boy had left. Matthew was the only wolf that hasn't gone completely insane after his mate Mary died when his son was born. Now that boys fathers gone too. I wish I could talk to him. If you see him give him my word." As the alpha King said that I filled with guilt and anger.

"I will Alpha." he patted my shoulder and walked away. If he only knew that Matthews son was my mate.

The whole rest of the night I didn't see Black. Did he leave? I don't really care he's so moody. I said my goodbyes to the other Alphas and especially the Alpha King and waited for everyone to leave. My driver Alex came in to get me.

"Ready to leave Alpha?" he said

"Yes thank you." I walked and looked back and tried to see my mate one more time but he was no where to be seen. I sighed and got in the car and rested my head against the window. Thinking of those grey eyes.
