Sorry for the wait. It's up now :D
No such luck with the other chapter I lost either, so I might just leave it.

Katherine's POV
It had been about a week since James had come for dinner and my mother was driving me insane with questions about him.
“Mum, please. I’m trying to get ready. I can’t be late!” I scream at her as I circle my bedroom, flinging things to and fro trying to find a suitable uniform for work that won’t get me into trouble.
“Honey, I’m just curious. James is a good looking lad; he can teach you a few things, that’s for sure.” She smirks with a wink.
“Mum! Do you literally have no filter? I don’t want to hear it!” I scream at her, tying my long hair up into bun.
“Oh course you don’t. Just make sure you’re safe, ok? I don’t want any inconveniences” And with that, I shove her out of my room and slam the door, turning the lock on. She starts saying something through the wooden obstacle but I turn my music up to block out the irritating and excruciating sounds. God, she can be a pain.
As I pad into the bathroom to get washed up and clean, I start thinking over the day James came over. During the past week we’d spend our nights talking to each other over the phone for hours. I hadn’t seen him in person since then but I have a feeling I will do soon. I met up with Brad a couple of days ago and caught up with him. I hadn’t exactly told Brad what happened; I thought that was up to James to tell him if he wanted Bradley to know. It wasn’t my place to say so I just told him it was an emotional crisis with a friend, which isn’t exactly lying but more or less concealing the complete truth.
I wasn’t aware if Bradley knew of James’ difficulties, or if James kept them to himself. If would make sense if he did, coming to me and all instead of his friends, but I still wasn’t going to compromise any trust the blonde haired, blue eyed boy placed in me by blabbing to his friends about his issues. Everyone has issues, but that doesn’t mean everyone else has to know about them.
Slipping into my uniform and straightening out the polo shirt, I grabbed my phone and keys, putting them in my bag and headed for the front door, only to be stopped by a muscly arm blocking my exit.
“We need to talk,” a voice says gruffly. I look up and see Josh standing in my way with a stern look on his face.
“About what?” I ask innocently.
“You know what?”
“Josh, I get it, ok? Be careful, I know.” I huff at him. Josh had made it perfectly clear to me the other night to stay safe and keep my distance. Mum had received another visit from the Detective Wilson that morning and apparently, they had to let their suspect free due to the whole ‘not enough sufficient evidence’ sort of thing. I was relieved of course, this man was innocent, but they didn’t think so. Now everyone is one my case, asking me to be careful, not to stay out late, come straight home after work and stay with Cameron or Charlie. Frankly, it pissed me off. This guy posed no threat to me whatsoever, but they didn’t know that. It’s probably because I didn’t tell them.
I never wanted to talk about what happened; I still don’t, but something tells me I might have to. I don’t want an innocent person being sent down for something they didn’t do, despite their previous criminal offences. Falsely accusing them would be immorally wrong. I just hoped they left him alone and caught the real criminal this time. That would be extremely helpful.
